Altering Virgin Fly Drive dates?

After reading Buzz for Boys thread about adding an extra week to their trip I started thinking about adding extra days to our 2011 trip. We have booked a Fly Drive with Virgin, so would obviously need to alter our return flight date. So my question is has anybody ever altered a booking with Virgin and if so, how much do they charge you for the amendment.

Just had a look at T&C's amendment fee is shown at £35pp + any further costs. you will have to ring them to get a definite price.

I have done it. They treat it as a cancellation though and you have to pay a new deposit again, they then transfer your old deposit payment and any other payment you have made less the £35/person amendment charge plus you pay the current price. Worked out ok for us as the prices had gone down quite a lot when we did it but think the prices are up a lot for next year now so you would need to have a good look at the figures to decide if it is worth it.

I did go ahead and change the booking. Basically Virgin just changed the booking and charged me the extra for the car hire and insurance. They didn't charge anything for changing the booking. However I had phoned on Mon for a preice and was told the price would be £200 more than I actually paid and that did include £35 for changing the booking!
