I secured my purchase of the new Playstation 2!
After a week of debating on where to purchase (preorder) a new PlayStation 2, and quickly becoming discouraged because even preorders are selling out (BestBuy.com, sears.com), and the retailer I work for isn't taking orders nor can they tell me when they expect a shipment. I was really disappointed at the possibly that I wouldn't be able patronize my own company for an item I was sure to purchase.
I called Electronic Boutique this morning after looking at their website, seeing that they were allowing purchases but not mentioning whether it was an advanced order with shipping at a later date or not. They are taking preorders for a $10 deposit in the store. Yet another option to add to my list of places to buy the new PS2.
I was planning on going to Walmart today, so before making the decision on placing an order at EB Games, I wanted to check out the situation at Walmart. You can order a bundle at wlamart.com, but the bundle isn't exactly what I'd like to purchase, although it is a decent package. I went to the Electronics department to see if they were taking orders. To my delight they had just received their shipment of new PS2's and I laied one away immediately.
DD will be pleasantly surprised Christmas morning when she opens this one! I can't believe I actually got one. I was so worried that by the holiday rush they would be sold out and I wouldn't be able to get one.
