for Halloween? Last year, we just stuck with a PoTC theme, but this year, we're doing a DL "sampler"-- we have PoTC, HM, Buzz, and Space Mtn. all represented so far, and we're working on a non-soaking Splash Mtn. possibility, too.

How 'bout the rest of you? What are you doing (or what have you done before)? Any pictures to post? Don't worry-- I don't think the Disney SS will come get us. God knows we're only acting as their promotional agents! ;)

--Will post our decoration photos asap (still trying to figure out how to do that).

We are doing a PotC theme, the first cavern. Just finishing the skeletons as I speak, the Bosun gave me the most trouble, however with the use of a number of fans, and an out of sync strobe, he worked out quite well. I cut the soundtrack to the "Avast there, it be to late to alter course matey!" section, and the ghostly voices, with the banjo interspliced and looped.Turning the front lawn into a beach did prove a bit of a problem, but at night the use of tinted lawn spots serves the purpose. Finding a stuffed seagull to mount on the head of the upright skeleton was impossible, so I painted a Halloween crow I purchased at Wallymart.

NB. If I had my way, it would stay like this all year round!

Wow how cool you guys! I wouldn't mind seeing a few pictures! Sure wish I was that creative. I've got some spooky green and purple lights and some pumpking lights. Oh and a glow in the dark skeleton. LOL

Christmas is my Disney holiday though. Mostly on the inside. From my Toontown hoilday houses, light up HHM, tons of Disney Christmas ornaments and disney decorations everywhere. LOL I wouldn't mind having a big blow up Santa Mickey in the yard. Gonna have to look in to that! :)

No decorations this year as I'll be in DL, but I keep trying to convince my DH to grow some Mickey pumpkins while he's growing the Giant Pumpkins. I guess I'll have to work on him some more for next year.

That's the same cavern we did last year! All we had, though, were the "crawling" skeleton and the one "stuck" to the wall. --Couldn't find a helm or enough supporting stakes to make the bosun one, though. We did play the Jack Sparrow song and the ride's theme song on a boombox outside to accompany what little we had out there. It was pretty cool (we even used an old antique trunk w/ yellow LEGOS for a treasure chest and a couple of sand-sifter crabs from the sandbox set to make it look "beachy")!pirate:

DL themed decorations would be SO cool! I think I'm going to try to find some Disney pumpkin carving patterns. I don't think I'm ambitious enough to do a whole scene, but I would love to see some DL themed pics!!!!

I will post some when I can figure out how, tried photobucket but did not work. Any clues?

Photobucket will work. They problem is that you don't have a high enough post count to be able to post pictures yet. I think you need about 13 or 15 posts before you can post pictures. Find some threads to post on real quick and get your post count up a little. Then try again because I want to see your pictures! It sounds cool!:thumbsup2
