Now which one of you bought all of the Disney mugs that were just sold on ebay??

I don't know anything about ebay, but my dad let me use it to bid on a Snow White Mug. There's only one Disney store open in my area, and the only Snow White mug I could find was one with Grumpy on it, so I decided to use ebay. My grandmother's birthday is this coming Thursday and I wanted to make a gift basket for her. Her favorite movie of all time is Snow White, and I wanted to get her a Snow White mug, since some of the things in the gift baskets are coffees and teas. So I bid on thisSnow White mug , and I look and see that this person selling them is selling about 7 or 8 other mugs from other Disney movies. I made sure to watch and make sure that I had the last bid. I watched as all the other mugs were ending, and I saw this one person come in at the last second and put in the high bid, so I made sure to be ready. So this person came and bid on the mug I wanted with less than a minute left, and I made sure to wait until 15 seconds left to bid again. But sure enough, this person outbid me before I could do it again! So this person won every mug! Isn't one mug enough?! And all I wanted was to buy a Snow White mug for my grandmother for her birthday. :(

I know there's others I could bid on, but not the one that I wanted. There is another one just like it that's being auctioned on ebay, but it already has like 4 bids on it, and it ends in 4 days, which would be too late. So it looks like I can't get grandma a pretty mug for her birthday.

Ok, now I'm done feeling sorry for myself.

Wasn't me, I've never bought anything on ebay. But I'm sorry you missed out. That would have been a nice addition to your basket. :(

Anything i've ever bid on through ebay i've been outbid. There is a button you can push where you will bid .01 cent more than the high bid up to X amount of dollars.

I gave up a long time ago. Sorry you lost out on your mug.

I'd probably be outbid on anything else I tried to bid on too, which is why I'd end up just getting frustrated all the time. I don't know anything about those special features. I'm not an ebayer, but my dad loves it and uses it all the time. Unfortunately, he's not home this weekend so he couldn't help me with the bidding, and just left me with his name and password. He did do the first bid for me though and asked what I wanted to bid (when there were no other bids). I was like "duh, it says 4.99 as a starting bid, why would I put higher than that?" I thought it was a silly question but then he explained the whole reason for putting higher than what they ask...shows how much I know.

Here's another just like the one you were bidding on.

This is cute too and it has a Buy it Now, which means you could select Buy It Now instead of bid and you just pay that price :

That last one is made by Lenox. It's pretty nice. Very Elegant.

Thanks. I actually saw the one that's the same as the one I was bidding on, but it ends in 3 days, so I don't think I'd get it on time for her birthday. I might try to bid on something else, but I don't want to go crazy, I'll probably just end up getting frustrated over someone outbidding me. :teeth: We'll see what happens, I just have to wait for my dad to come home, because it's his account so I gotta ask him first!

I had something swiped out from me on ebay also once and it really is quite frustrating. Especially when you really get your hopes up high on wanting it.

I don't know if this will help, but you could call WDW and ask them to send a Snow White mug to you for your Grandma. I have done this before for another item and I paid for it over the phone and then it was sent via mail.

Good luck with finding a gift.

I was going to suggest this too. You may be able to request overnight or second day shipping. Same with auctions on Ebay.

Look for things with the Buy it Now label. Or email sellers befor eyou bid and ask if you can pay extra for faster shipping.
