Okay- so we are being blessed with a beautiful baby Girl this year. We have not agreed on a name yet. What have you got? Our other children have ethnic Italian names if that helps. TIA!

Names I love:

Ameila
Sophia
Alexis

I also really think that whehn I have a child, I will want them to be named after someone, like Amelia is more appealing to me because Amelia Earhart was such an amazing woman. You get the idea..someone who had a little oomph! :)

DO you have a favorite book or person in history with a name you love?

Octavia Danielle :goodvibes

LOVE LOVE that name but dh hates it..LOL

I like traditional names that I grew up with.

Had I been able to have another child and it was a girl, she'd have been Christine (or Christina) or Michelle.

The name I currently love is: Brooke-Lynne! :goodvibes I do not think that is Italian.

I am loving that new tv reality show "Guiliana and Bill"....that is such a pretty name!!! She is very Italian!!!

Congratulations! :goodvibes

If you're searching for an Italian name, I have a cousin-in-law named Alessia. I've always thought that was very beautiful.

I love the sound of "Guilana" though I like the spelling "Julianna" better.

I wouldn't chose it personally because growing up, there was a girl in my neighborhood named "Adrianna." The poor thing was overweight, and the boys always teased her by calling her "Adrianna Fat Banana."

Feel free to use DD's.... (we are not Italian though, but she loves her name)

Italian Baby Names
Angela
English translation/equivalent: Angela

Origin: Derived from the Greek ànghelos "messenger," perhaps of Assyrian origin. In Christianity it has assumed the meaning of "messenger of God."

Name Day/Onomastico: Monday following Easter—celebrating St. Angelo or October 2 in honor of the Holy Guardian Angels.

Related Name/Other Italian Forms: feminine form of Angelo

Do you watch Jersey SHore? You could name her J WOw! lol

My sisters are named: Lisa, Sarah, Audra, Ashlee, Jessica and Kelsie.

Love that!! (it's my hometown!) :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2

And my DH in CT!!! He lived there his whole life and his family are still there on a 90 acre farm. It is in Northeast CT!!! :goodvibes We did not have any girls...so we were unable to use it as a name! :sad1:

DD is Shelby, my aunt wanted to give her baby an Italian name & they named her Racheina. I like Rachel also. Congrats!!!

My grandmother's name was Isabela. If I ever have a daughter she will be named Sofia. And, a name I love but has a celebrity association to it is Giada.
