Alright~ Back on Atkins!

Went off Atkins on and off for the past month, I've been so stressed I've been slipping. Cheating on Sundays (day DFiance is off from work) then slipped into Mondays and now any time we go out... urgh!
I went shopping Saturday and bought only ALLOWED foods, stocked up on Carb IC, Atkins Morning Bars, LC Bread, WATER WATER WATER...lol!
Since Sunday I've lost 5 pounds already back on the plan... and I enjoy eating, it's nice to have set meals, at set times, and I know what I'm going to eat and I don't feel bad about it.
I enjoy my allowed snacks and think of them as treats, aka if I drink all my 4 glasses of water between breakfast and lunch I can have a cheese stick (1 carb) after lunch. If I do the same for between lunch and dinner I can have a Carb IC Bar (2 carbs). It's forcing me to drink the water... which helps!
Hoping that this ditch I'm stuck in will be gone by the weekend and I'll be at my next goal!
 
I'm starting induction again today. I've let my carbs creep up the last few weeks and my wieght loss has stalled. I only lost about 2 lbs in the last month. I really wanted to be down to a 12 by our vacation next week, but I'm a large 14/small 16.
WE CAN DO IT....
 
Can I join? Today is day 2 of induction. I was doing my own version of Atkins and still losing but lately I have really been going carb crazy. Over the weekend we went to Epcot and I even ate rice in China. I haven't had rice in months. Then in the same evening I had dessert in France and on the way home:eek: :eek: :eek: McDonalds!! I was a BEAR the following morning and I knew it was the carbs. So after 2 weeks of not losing anything and my overdosing in carbs over the weekend I decided it was time to straighten up. Grocey day is tomorrow and even though I still buy the junk for the rest of the family, I am going to stock up on good stuff for me, veggies and meat! Here's to starting over!!

We should start an Induction thread here or create a new one for all Atkins followers doing Inductions starting this week... we can update each other on our sucess, cool finds for "acceptable" foods, goals, etc.

Anyone interested?
 

I'll join!! Oh no, DD just said she wanted pizza for dinner.....I love pizza:( O.K., day 2 is almost over, almost over.
 
Is that your DD in your siggie? She is precious as is your son. Don't fall into the pizza trap, I've done that one MANY many times...lol! You can always pick the toppings off (or order 1/2 no sauce) and pick the toppings, less carbs that way, the sauce is loaded! Most places have salads too... come on you can do it. DFiance works nights so that when I find it the hardest to stay OP. Especially when he works a double and is only home for breakfast. I hate to cook a whole Atkins meal for just myself... I guess I'll be having a shake tonight.
 
Hiya i will join too:bounce: I started the atkins 2 weeks ago and lost 9lbs but i had a really bad weekend and ate anything i wanted to:( I started the induction again yesterday and so far so good:tongue: I want to loose another 14lbs before september before we go to WDW Is this possible:confused:

Going back on it on Monday after being off of it since Octobers visit to WDW, and the only reason I am waiting until then is because I am watching my best friends 7 children while she is taking a much needed break on a cruise. You know how it is when you are in someone elses house, not much low carb here, and definately no time to go get some.

7 children, boy you will for sure get your exercise in. Hopefully they are not all to young. Make sure to check back in on Monday.

2angelsinheaven...I was able to avoid the Pizza monster. DH was sleeping so I told DD that we couldn't have pizza when daddy is sleeping, she bought it....this time. I ended up having chicken salad and some cucumbers.

Well...day 3 is almost to an end. My only slip up was I ate peas for dinner....thinking they are a veggie so they should be alright, then after dinner I checked the carb count....a little high. Glad I only ate about half a serving size.

So how is everyone else doing?
 
Right on track here....down 7 1/2 pounds since Sunday. Mostly water weight I'm sure, but we'll see. Of course TOM is coming this week so I guess I'm gonna hit a stall shortly.

Great job!! I had weigh in yesterday and lost 1 pound since last week, but just started induction on Monday so we'll see what next week holds for me. Day 4 is almost over....yeah. I have had a low carb chocolate cookie and some peanuts, but still haven't splurged on junk food. Tonight will be the test. We are going to MK and there are way to many temptations there. I am packing a cooler with cheese, pepperoni, chicken salad and jello. So if I feel the urge to snack, I got plenty to eat. And lots of water.

well I didn't go back on induction. I pulled a muscle in my back and just don't feel like doing induction right now. I'll probably start it on Mon and have 5 days of it before vacation. I'm doing pretty well as far as keeping the carbs low right so that's better than the last few weeks.
