And I pretty much have costumes all picked out!

Knowing that September is unnaturally hot, I've figured out the PERFECT costumes for MNSSHP! DD can be Tinkerbell (green swim suit and a tutu) and DS is going as Phineas! We found the perfect Phineas shirt at Old Navy tonight. Now all we need is some orange hair dye and blue shorts!

I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

I am so excited, too! I can't wait until the tickets go on sale. I think they were available last year in March. :confused3:confused3 Not sure about that! Your costume ideas sound perfect!

OOOh I love those costume ideas! Wish I could convince DD that she does not have to be a princess--but I'm not going to try and argue

What if you could convince her to be an ice skating version of the princesses? That way she wouldn't have to be in a long skirt in the hot nights?

It shouldn't be too much longer! Only a couple of months to go!

Anyone else already thinking about costumes?

Hi!! I have been thinking about MNSSHP party also. This will be our first time going in the fall and we are Halloween lovers. The kids do not know about the Halloween party yet. I think i'm going to surprise them with it when I buy the tickets. If I can hold out that long.

I have already been thinking about costumes as well. But not sure yet, cause the kids don't know yet. When I tell them, i'll get their costume ideas. I'm going to make sure they are in something light as well. We don't want any hot, sweaty and miserable kiddos!

I"ve been looking at MNSSHP pictures and reading Sept/October TRs. The park looks awesome decorated for Halloween.

We are looking forward to MNSSHP too! :woohoo: Can't wait! This will be our first time in Sept as well. How light do the costumes need to be in order for them to be comfortable. I think my dd will be easy, she has pleanty of shorter short sleeve princess dresses , but I have no idea what to do for ds. Any ideas? All the Disney costumes I have seen in pics online look like they might be too warm from what you guys are saying. Would the buzz lightyear costumes be too warm? Help please!!

Seeing the pics from this year's party is the reason why we are going! DH was the one who called the trip after seeing how the park was decorated.

This past year it was warm at the end of September, my parents said it was 90+ each day and the nights weren't much better! Think as light as possible with the costumes because you can never trust the Florida weather! DS had a lightweight Buzz costume (one of the cheaper versions) and it wasn't too bad. Just think cool and you should be in great shape!

Last year I think they released the dates in April and the tickets went on sale in May. So unfortunately it's going to feel like an eon before that time comes!

we are going to have to move our trip and we were thinking the Sept./oct time frame. How will mnsshp effect our trip, do they close the park early every night for this? When does it normally start and end?
TIA

We're going the first week in October (which also happens to be my birthday week!) and DH and I are super excited about MNSSH! I have a girlfriend who lives in FL and she's even buying tickets for her family so that we can go together and have some Not so Scary fun! :)

I would love to find out more about this. We're going September 27-30, but I'm not sure if it'll start by then???

They have been doing the parties starting at the beginning of September. You should be there for the party! If I remember right, I think they did 24+ dates in 2009.

The nights that are for MNSSHP MK closes at 7. They say to avoid the park on those days unless you have hoppers. The days they did the parties this year were usually Tues, Fri, Sat. They may only stick with 1 day during the week... we all just have to sit it out and wait for the dates to be released!

We are very excited about going to the MNSSHP too. This is our first time and we are going in September. I am not sure about costumes yet either.
