Anyone used this site lately? Any problems? Anything to be leery of? I've found a great rate on there but am hesitant to book. Who can make me feel better about going thru w/this?

I used Hotel Kingdom three years in a row then a buddy told me about Alpha Rooms. Booked with them the last two years in a row and saved hundreds. Plus they do not charge in full until the month before arrival. HK used to charge in full at booking. Never a problem. I'm looking to use Alpha again this year.

I used them in Nov. 2007 when I needed a room for 1 nt. pre-check in for our timeshare. I was a bit hesitant as this is a UK based website and I never heard of it, knew nothing about them. I went to the UK boards on the dis to inquire and was reassured again and again. Since my stay was not recent you could ask again to get recent feedback.

I did email about their terminology between twin and double as this is different than what they call bedding in the US. The Sheraton Safari has 2 doubles or 1 King but AR gave me a choice of double or twin. I got a phone call at work (due to time zone difference) and I was assured I'd have 2 beds for our family of 4. She was extremely nice and I would def. consider them again for the right price. I chose to pay in full at booking just to make it easier while I had her on the phone, international long distance and it was only like $60 per night and I just needed 1 nt.
