DH is at work until 11pm, so it's just me and the cat tonight. I kind of don't know what to do with myself. Maybe watch Christmas movies? Feels wrong to watch them alone.
I have about four hours while my girls are having Christmas Eve dinner with their dad and stepmother.
I'm finishing a few Christmas surprises, tidying up the wrapping stuff that's been out all week, getting organized for Christmas dinner - and then I'm going to take a bubble bath using the last of last year's Christmas bubble bath - because I'm getting some new in the morning!!!
Merry Christmas PrincessBelle! You're not alone. Your cat is with you. Cats are great company. I love them. Enjoy your evening. DH will be home before you know it.
I understand. My husband is working until late as well. I've been baking and tidying up, getting ready for tomorrow's gathering before he goes back to work.
In just a bit I'm heading to a long hot shower then dressing for Midnight Mass. Right now I'm taking a break and watching Holiday Inn and then I'll start White Christmas. Love Bing Crosby on Christmas!
I understand too. DH is deployed. My mom is here and the kids of course, but mom is napping and the kids are battling it out on some video game. It's hard to have a loved one absent on Christmas Eve.
I'm feeling blue too! DH has to work out of town this Christmas and is not getting to see the kids open their gifts. My parents and sister are here, but it is just not the same.
I guess I was the odd man (lady) out last night.
I was invited to a few houses but just wanted some quiet time. I sent my son and grandson to one, and told my male friend that I didn't want to go to his friends house.
I sat in quiet and watched "It's a Wonderful Life" and enjoyed the night alone.. It was so peaceful.
