Congrats! Y'all will really enjoy your stay at the Poly.

I couldn't take it anymore broke down yesterday and switched from CSR to the Poly. Here are a few pics from last May at the Poly.

Look mighty tasty

Are the Kona sticky wings ever in the club level lounge? I would love to try these, but since we are on the regular dining plan, we can't get an appetizer when we eat at Kona :(

Thanks!

O.K. here is my question...I do not think I will like Captain Cooks much (don't throw tomato's)
Since I am planning to full resort only days at the POLY, I think I may go to GF CS for lunch.

Has anyone else done this & if you dis what was the CS like?

We prefer Captain Cooks over the counter service at the GF.... to me the food choices at Captain Cooks was healtheir and more varied.... the counter service at GF was standard salads and sandwhiches...

Quick question. I heard about complimentary Wi-Fi in the Poly CL lounge. Does anyone know if that is true?

There is a WI-FI signal in CL however it is password protected. There might be a way around it but there is no complimentary Internet access with exception to asking concierge to check you in to your airline!

They were on the updated menu I posted last fall. I forget which day the wings were offered. I'll see if I can find my post and give you the day. :thumbsup2

Post #221 in this thread I posted a menu for the lounge that went into effect in the fall--around October 1. The wings are served on Wednesdays.

Where is your fav. spot to watch the water parade, and what time do you go 'find a spot'? We are coming to Poly next October and are thinking about skipping MNSSHP since we have done it twice. I want to make a big deal out of the water parade and make a night of it by eating at Ohana. Thank you, we are SO excited about the Poly!!!!:yay:

We love the Electrical Water Pageant but never stake out a spot ahead of time. It can be seen and heard so well from anywhere on the middle beach that I don't think there is a need. It's relatively short, too.

Congratulations to both you and DreaminDisney!

We have never gone early to stake out a spot. There are usually people out there but it isn't like grabbing a spot for the 3o'clock parade.

Have a fabulous trip!

1. It depens on how fast do you walk. I would say it is a 10 minute "stroll" along a beautiful path along the beach between the two resorts. The best time is when the sun is setting...the stroll is fabulous :lovestruc

2. That is a matter of personal opinion ;) You might have to try both to see. I like both. There are some that love Capt Cooks and Some that hate CC.

3. Capt Cooks is a short walk from the pool. You can get snacks there as well as fill your mugs :thumbsup2

Thanks Breezysmom! I'll start with Captain Cook and see how the kids like it. And I had completely forgotten about the refillable mugs!

LOL, now I just have to sit tight and wait for 6+ months!

Thanks for posting!

ETA: Congrats on your Poly stay, how fun!!

Hi it's a little off topic but you guys are the nicest people I know sooooo

My ? is I have a Disney Visa...I have never redeemed any reward dollars...can I wait until I go to Disney to get the redemption card? I am asking cause it will be my FIRST redemption card ever so I didn't know if there were special rules for that:) AND if I am able to do that will the card be loaded right away or will it take a while? Cause if it takes a while I will just have it come to the house...I was trying to avoid that cause then I will head to the Disney store:rolleyes1 and I am trying to save it for our Aug vacay at the Poly:cool2:.

Unless it has changed, you can go to guest services at the MK and they can give you your Rewards card there. I can't remember if I had to call to load it or activate it but it was obviously easy or I would have remembered!

Have a great time! We'll be at the Poly in August, too.

SOLD! I am ready to book my Dec trip to the Poly!

Now I am just trying to figure out how to book. I was going to go directly with Disney to keep it simple, but now I am thinking about going through a travel agent. I am ok with someone else "owning" don't expect any changes to the reservation with the exception of hopefully adding a whopper promo code in a few months !:cheer2:

We are AAA members, so I am aware of their extra perks. I was reading on Tikiman that if go go through Magical Vacations and ask for the "Tiki Plan" you get some sort of perk? Has anyone done this that can provide more info?

Thanks!

I wasn't sure if I'd like the food at CC's either, but ended up loving it. The Adult Grilled Cheese sandwich is fabulous, (and I don't like grilled cheese sandwiches!), and I really loved the Tonga Toast for breakfast too.

I tried the Aloha Pork Sandwich, the Multigrain Turkey Club, the Grilled Cheese Sandwich, the Caesar Salad with Chicken, and the Stir-Fried Noodles and loved all of them. :)
