Hello everyone! love all the pictures and all the Poly talk!! We are planning on Staying at the Poly for the 1st time in November!
Can't wait!! I am so tired of the cold and snow up north!!

Question.. we currently are reserved for a GV.. but was thinking of upgrading to a CL GV.. is CL only in Hawaii?

1) What is the time for the torch light ceremony? Can anyone tell me a little more about it?

2) Does the Poly have a campfire & movies on the beach? If so, does anyone know the schedule?

3) Can anyone tell me more about the hula lessons in the lobby?

4) How long is the bus ride to Downtown Disney?

Yes, all the CL rooms (other than suites) are located in the Hawaii building.

We are waiting for Soutwest to put out their schedules for December. Right now you can only book up to August 13.

I'm waiting for SW too. Shouldn't they have released dates past Aug. 13 by now?

Southwest will sometimes put out schedules 9 months in advance, other times 6 months in advance. So I check almost daily

I know it's somewhere on their site but you can also call SW they will tell you the approximate date that the next dates will open up and they will tell you through what date you can book.

1. 6pm on select nights. I do not think they do it on Sunday and Monday nights. They give you a schedule on check in so double check on the days.

2. Yes, on the beach between the Poly and GF. Back in November it was every night except Monday and Tuesday. Again, check the activity schedule on check in.

3. Just show up in the lobby before 3:45 by the front doors

4. Don't know but I hear some days it can take over an hour so I have never attempted it.

I just wanted to say thanks for posting all of your pics and hosting a great thread. I am new and finally stopped lurking We leave for our trip in June. I can't wait to experience POLY and DISNEY for the first time!!!

I just want to add a bit to #1. Breezy's Mom answered the rest better than I could have. (The times/days of things can change from month to month or even week to week, so I advise you to read the Poly schedule you will get when you check in).

The tiki torch lighting ceremony is one of those little Disney touches that make the Poly so much fun! I didn't expect much, and was really impressed with what I saw. There was a fire-dancer there, and he did a little show before lighting the torches. Fun!

Just a few more days before I head to the world and escape the winter wonderland here in NH.
Though I am not staying at the Poly I am staying at BLT at the contemporary (thanks to a generous friend who us using her DVC points!) which is just close enough to the Poly that we will be making a trip over to have a fruity drink on the beach and watch wishes!
I'm running in the Princess half (my first 1/2!) so wish me luck!!
