Aloha! ***Welcome to the NEW Poly FAQ***

29 days & counting, I'm so excited. This is the first time we will be staying at the Polynesian & will also be staying in Hawaii with a lagoon view. I want to stay on the first floor & was wondering if anyone could recommend a room number with a nice unobstructed view of the castle. Please help. :worship:

We stayed in 1501 - 1st room on the hallway - and the view is a bit obstructed by a palm tree trunk. Next time we stayed in 1503 which was better, although some of the trees on the beach obstructed the castle a tiny bit (hard to avoid the trees down on the beach though from a 1st floor sightline perspective). If you get a few doors further down -- so say 1505-10 kind of range, it might be better.

The numbers don't go like I had expected, with all evens on one side of the hallway and all odds on the other, so I'm not sure of the exact room numbers, but they do go 1501, 1502, 1503 etc. all on the lagoon side.

Good Morning :sunny:

Missing my quiet morning walks at the Poly

The quiet morning walks around the resort, with coffee in hand are precious to me, and nowhere does it feel quite as special as around the Poly.

Looking forward to returning next year to get my fix.

Those pics are so beautiful I absolutely can't wait until next year!

Really weird question-

The Spirit of Aloha dinner serves this really great bread...Does anyone know of any place else I might be able to get it other than going back to the dinner? lol TIA if anyone's able to help~

Thanks for the great morning photos, Breezysmom! I will be there in a few short days and hope to see it in person (if I'm not exhausted!) :lovestruc

Hey everybody! I'm counting down the days until our family trip - 14 to go!!! I have a question about the coffee makers in the rooms. I am planning to bring my own coffee, water, and filters. Do I need to bring basket or cone filters? And for anyone that used it, I'm just curious...how is the coffee they supply for the machine? I'm kind of particular about my cofee. ;) Thanks!

Hello! Looking forward to our upcoming stay at the Polynesian for Thanksgiving...

Is there a gym at the Polynesian or do you have to go to the GF Spa to exercise?

THANKS and Aloha...!!!

How exciting! I cannot wait to see your pics when you return. Have a magical vacation :wizard:

I have to say that I have been fighting something since before we left and finally last week when I finally slowed down from the craziness of preparing for the trip, being on the trip and getting back to normal after the trip I got sick  I spent the last two days in bed resting. Not the H1N1 thankfully, just a sinus thing!

I hope to get back to my TR soon!

The guests at the Poly need to go to the GF Spa. It is a nice scenic walk just past the Luau Cove!

Have a great trip! :wizard:

Bring your own. The coffee they supply in the room is not so great. They do have cofee makers in the room but they are like the 4 cup kind.

You need basket filters. I bought some for my last trip and I think the smallest pack I could find was 100 filters. That's a lot of trips to Disney :goodvibes

28 days & counting. I can't wait any longer. Does anyone know what the 3rd floor lounge is like? Do you still have to go to the main lounge on 1st floor to get drinks?Food? Just trying to figure out what the best floor is to stay on.

The lounge is all joined together - 2nd and 3rd floor - with steps connecting them. The food is on the 2nd floor, the 3rd floor is just a small sitting area with a TV and a bathroom.

The 1st floor is the lobby where you check in and where the staff sits.

You must be going about the same time we are. We arrive on December 9.

Have a GREAT time!!
