Hasn't BreezysMom done a fantastic job with this FAQ?:surfweb:

This is truly a collaborative effort!!! :grouphug:

I remember when I first came to this thread right before my first trip. It made such a difference in my planning!! I wish I had found it months sooner!

The thread has helped me continue you my love affair with the Poly while at home :love::love:

That being said, this is my 1000 post.

I think I have decided to rquest a balcony room in Fiji or Samoa. We'll see. I never get what I request as far as room locations go..

I can't remember if I posted this earlier, but while at the Poly in Nov/Dec my husband questioned a staff member about future possibilities of a hot tub. The staff member told him that there were discussions of hot tubs being placed along the beach so you could enjoy the view, but due to the economy that wasn't going to happen. However, he told him that by April 2010 the children's fountain play area was going to be taken away and a hot tub put in it's place. We are going back in Nov/Dec 2010 and are excited to get this confirmed. Anyone going soon that can check to see if this is true?

I don't know if that is true or not, but I would love that! Of course my daughter wouldn't be too happy about the play area leaving, but I'll take the hot tub any day!

We are staying at POFQ 4/21 - 4/27 on the military offer; me, dh, DS4 & DS9. I was happy with this resort, it is small, has a good pool/slide, etc. Well today the thought of changing to the Poly popped into my head (aaahhhh ). Me an DH stayed there for three nights in Sept and I LOVED it! It was so nice to be on the monorail.

Now I'm thinking of changing back to the Poly and I'm trying to justify the extra money. We are only going to MK (2x), EP and AK (4 day tickets), so being on the monorail would be so convenient of not having to rely on buses, which means we could sleep in a little later........... They have a cool pool which the kids would enjoy........... the kids could play on the beach (sand, not the nasty water)............... If Disney does't offer military deals after this year, we may not get a chance to stay there as there is no way I would pay rack rate (I'm telling myself better do it while I can with the kids ). Our trip in Sept was so relaxing and the Poly just makes me think that this trip will also me more relaxing............

Give me some more reasons why we should change................. has anyone stayed at both and likes POFQ better than the Poly?? (is that even possible? he he)

Ok, I did it!! I changed us to 6 nights at the Poly!!!:banana::banana: I must be the right decision, because I feel the weight lifted off of me. However, I don't think I'm going to tell the family until we get there! :rotfl: I can't wait to watch Wishes with them all from the beach and then have a short walk back to room!

hopefully you all will agree with me, but is there a better a hotel then the Poly in WDW? I vote no, only stayed there once and can't wait to go back, just to stay there.

It's funny that you said once you switched to the Poly, you felt the weight lifted off you! I feel the same way...I've had my trip booked since July, and at the time there was no lagoon or theme park views available, and I really wanted a MK view this time so I booked at the CR. THe whole time, I was excited, but just didn't fell "right", like something was missing. Now that I've booked our dream vacation at the Poly, I also feel a weight lifted off my shoulders, and feel like everything is as it should be. I've decided to keep it a secret and not tell we're staying at the Poly until we pull up there! What a wonderful surprise that will be! :goodvibes

Good evening, everyone!

I will be placing an order from gardengrocer and I can't picture if a 64oz carton of milk would fit in the door of the fridge, or in the inside somehow? I"m planning on getting the milk, and some cheese, water and soda to put in the fridge, just wondering how much I could fit, and I didn't really use the fridge our last trip so I don't want to buy too much food!

No more changing for me. We are doing a split stay BCV 2 BR 4 nights Poly TPV CL 5 nights. Started with 7 at GF and too many changes later ended up with this. It is what my mom wanted but thought I wanted the GF I thought she wanted the GF... :confused3 Good thing is not too many changed to dining and less bouncing around. My only problem is I have spent months educating myself on other resorts

I only have 6 weeks to learn everything I can. Planning 3 1/2 days at the parks 2 full resort days. I am sure I will find plenty here for idea to keep me busy.

I was thinking about staying at the Polynesian next time... it would be great to be able to relax in a hot tub with all that gorgeous scenery.

7 more days until our 1st trip to the Poly!

Just made my ADR's. We got everything we wanted, woohoo!! Trying Jiko and Kouzzina for something new this time and DD talked me into doing the Luau again! We're so excited!!!

Got another question :) Whats the quickest way to get around the resort, in CSR they have these golf buggy's, do they have the same at the Poly?

They do, but they are for the luggage (unless you get lucky). We just walk around the beautiful gardens and enjoy it!:goodvibes

If you are staying CL they will take you to the Hawaii building with/without your luggage-otherwise you have to walk-but really the walk isn't as bad as the map looks-maybe an 8 minute walk from TTC to GCH-I love the walkways-stop & smell the flowers & take pictures!

We might be going to WDW/Polynesian in July for our anniversary trip!!:yay::woohoo:
