You're welcome.:goodvibes

I think I was on the DIS about 5 years before I discovered that!:rotfl:

The new thread looks great!! :thumbsup2 I see that you've already used several of my pics, but now I'll add some more of my favorites. :sunny:

Thank you SeaSpray! I appreciate all your feedback! Thanks for the use of the pics, otherwise the thread would be super dull!

Can't wait to see your favs :goodvibes

Great job BreezysMom, thanx for getting this together for everyone :)

I have been a lurker to the Poly thread for a couple years now. We booked the Poly last month for May 2-8, 2010. This will be our first time at Poly and I am very excited.

I have done a lot of tweaking and adding of the first information pages. I am still working on the review link page so keep checking back for additions.

I also really need to proof read the pages as well so I will be working on that too!

As we get new reviews and pics posted I will bookmark them of the review page for future reference. DH and DD think I am nuts as they have been totally neglected the last few days. Thankfully it has been a bit wet and chilly here so I don't feel so bad for being on my laptop for two straight days!

I just want to give a huge thanks to SeaSpray for allowing me to use info and pics from her thread as that was a huge help in getting this one off the ground!
Thanks SeaSpray!:

Thanks for starting a new Poly thread. The other one was great. My DH and my first trip to the Poly is in Jan '10 and I am so excited. My family always stayed at the CR when we went in the early 70's, and each year when we went to the luau I always asked to stay at the Poly during our next trip. But back we went to the CR. We got a great price for CL LV for this trip. I just hope I don't become Poly addicted.

Does anyone know if its possible to get a real flower lei at the Polynesian. Does the Disney Florist have them to get delivered to the room?

I'm so excited, I'll be at the Poly for the first time in exactly one week!!! This week at work is going to be torture.

Whoohoo! I finally found the new official thread. Withdrawal symptoms were about to set in!

That is an excellent question. I know I have seen them in the lobby and I was not sure who they were for or how you get them. I would love to get one for DD?

Anyone know?

We ordered flower Lei's from Disney Florist during one of our stays at the Polynesian. The lei's were beautiful - DD and her friend wore the Lei's to the Luau. :)

Quick Question about the real flower leis...

How long do they last?

Are you able to take them home if flying?

Thanks,
Jennifer

It was several years ago when we had the lei's- before TSA current rules...but I don't think we took them home b/c we were there for a week and the lei's were delivered the first day.

Sorry I can't be of more help...maybe someone one else will post who has purchased them recently.

Thanks BreezysMom for putting the thread together! And thanks SeaSpray for all of your contributions to the Poly threads too!

We attended the class and made our own lei's with real flowers. The leis only lasted a few days. We did put ours in the refrigerator and that helped a bit. If you are flying out late, then maybe there will be a class in the morning.

Good morning everyone!

My countdown is moving verrrry slowly, but in the meantime, I'm getting lots of good information here!

Does anyone know if the resort gift shops have coffee mugs that are "Poly-specific"? DH and collect mugs and I would love to have a couple with a Polynesian design or logo.

Off to get ready for work (ugh...) Have a good day everyone!

Ooh yes I would like to know that too as a Poly refillable mug would be awesome! :)

When I was down in the spring I remember seeing coffee mugs if I recall correctly the ones I saw were brown and had "Disney Polynesian Resort" in a polynesian type font. They had both the travel mugs and the standard coffee mug style.

I just had to come and do my ONE month to Disney dance :cool1::banana::dance3::cheer2:

When I was there is December, I saw the same mugs as Capt Barbosa.

Thanks for the information about the leis. I will have to ask when we get to the Poly about making them. DD would love that.

I have to admit I am getting a little "anxious" about getting things together. We are going away to our lake place this coming weekend and DH is traveling a lot before we go for work. For us, the time is flying by.

I am a little under the weather today so I will be hanging out at home and hopefully can work on the reviews page a bit. Thanks to everyone for the feedback. It has been fun putting it together. :sunny:
