Here is the best news of the day. The Wonder is now on her way back here to L.A. To pick us up. Not sure what is cooler that or the call I got from Club 33 reminding me of my reservation tomorrow.

Finally finished work so I am unoffically on vacation. Since I live close to Disneyland and the drive to port is short I guess my vacation offically starts when I board the ship on Sunday.
I cannot wait and we are super excited.
and yes, the weather is beautiful right now

Safe travels to everyone. I am really looking forward to the " Minnie Meet " tomorrow. Not sure how long I will be awake for it though.

Everything ready, just need to load the car. We are leaving for airport tomorrow morning at 8Am. Kids are in bed (still not knowing we are going on vacation) and i'll go soon too. Didn't sleep real good last few nights....too nervous i guess

I'll see some of you at Minnie Meet tomorrow night....and others...on Sunday at 3pm!

Let's vacation begin!!!!

Saw some posters here saying that they were having a hard time finding Rosa Regale. I found it today at Total Wine & More in Redondo Beach (Hawthorne Blvd, I think). $15.99

Also, when I flew in yesterday from Chicago Midway to LAX on Southwest, I think there were some fellow cruisers on board. Sorry I didn't say "hi." I find it difficult to hear on airplanes and didn't want to disturb the passenger in the aisle seat next to me by shouting over him.

I know we can buy them from DCL but what about bringing our own. Dear, sweet husband bought me flowers for my b/day, mother's day, anniversary and wants me to take them onboard. Really sweet, but now I've got to get them to CA. From Wisconsin. =:-0

Any info before tomorrow 8:25 a.m. would be greatly appreciated.

You can't bring flowers onto the ship in LA.

Hopefully you can pay your DH's kind gesture forward and give them to someone at the airport who looks in need of a pick me up...or maybe even a service member coming home from serving so selflessly for all of us here in the USA.

Made to the Doubletree tonight and tried out the King's Hawaiian restaurant as planned. Good enough that we hope to go again after the cruise. See you tomorrow night at the Minnie Meet.

Bob&lee, sorry I've never taken Disney transfers - are you arriving tomorrow or today? IF tomorrow, and they know the flight you're on, my guess is there will be a greeter after you exit security with a sign. Check your docs again - it might also be on the transfer ticket itself.

If you need california souvenirs - the ABC next door to my hotel is incredible! Judy, do you need me to check for that wine?

Remember the Grand Californian meet tonight - 7:30 pm in the fireplace niche! Look for my ecv parked by the opening.

Nancy and I arrived at the Doubletree yesterday afternoon. We are in a lovely room overlooking the marina! Had cocktails and dinner in the hotel last night with my Pal Mickey being quite the conversation opener!

Up and off the the D23 tour of the Burbank studios this morning!

Dinner with the thieves this evening and the Doubletree DIS meet as well are on our agenda!

I had an amazing day yesterday. We went to see the Queen Mary and spent about 5 hours exploring. Yesterday evening I went to Disneyland with one of our friends and finally got to see Fantasmic. I was never really interested in this, but I loved it. I could not resist and picked up a couple of Disney Hawaiian Shirts at the clothes shop on Main Street. The plan for today is to head down to San Diego.

Plan a very relaxing day today. Road trip really wiped me out....the mountain passes seem worse than they used to I am sure my age has nothing to do with it... Going to visit downtown Disney for a few hours... Stop at a store because I forgot to bring anything to tie walker in a closed position so it can be checked as baggage wouldn't be a normal vacation if I didn't forget something. Then relax for a few hours in room and head to meet here in Doubletree See some of you there!

We arrived last night. Up at 5 am local time. Going to be a long day. Going t Downtown Disney, then a dry run to the port after last night's fun time getting here a dry run would be good.
