Everytime I go to WDW I politely ask for upgrade, I've gone about seven trips an only once been upgraded, Wilderness Lodge 2007 from woods view to courtyard view. I've heard its easier to get upgraded on shorter trips, like people who do split stays or weekend trips.

I noticed we have about the same amount of time before our next trip to the world. Make it go by fast O.K.!!!!YAY:dance3:

What are the breakfast offerings at the poly cl. Are there any meat, cheeses, or hardboiled eggs, or is it just cereal and pastries? Thanks.

We leave in 6 days...I can't believe it's finally here! We're doing a big family trip -12 of us -from all over the country, so it's going to be very different from when my husband and I went two years ago. It will be great to spend time with everyone. I'm very glad we are going before the Spa at GF closes, as we got surprise massage sessions scheduled for my MIL and SIL!

Still, I wish they hadn't removed the deep end of the quiet pool. I loved hanging over the side of the pool after being on my feet all day.

But who cares, I'm going to the World!

For everyone leaving soon, can you report on whether there's a bouncback offer in the room? We don't go until the end of September, but I'm really hoping to book with a BB for next spring/summer :thumbsup2

Just got back yesterday. There was a bounceback offer of 40% off room rate for selected days through the remainder of 2011. We didn't take it.

Thanks for the info - hoping to go next spring/summer, and 40% off would be the clincher!!

We just returned from the Poly yesterday and had a great time. We will be back to the Poly on our next trip, just not in August when the heat is brutal.

We stayed on the third floor of Tuvalu which worked very well for us (wife and two sons (7 and 17 months). Originally we were given a first floor room at Tahiti, but I asked for third floor Tuvalu and they gave it to us. We had a great view of GF, MK castle and space mountain, as well as the electrical water parade which starts right in front of Tuvalu. You do hear the boat whistles and some of the Spirit of Aloha music, but it was okay. We didn't think that the walk to the GCH was too far, except for Thursday night when it was raining like a monsoon.

For those leaving soon, it was extremely hot and muggy at WDW this past week. Drink plenty of water and make sure that you take breaks in air conditioned environments. Unfortunately my older son (7) suffered some minor heat exhaustion (he's okay) and had to be treated by paramedics this past Wednesday (it was 105 degrees that day). He had plenty to drink that day and we had gone mostly to air conditioned rides, but the paramedics explained that heat exhaustion can occur over a period of days. Have fun, but don't over do it.

I'm glad your son is ok! I had no idea that heat exhaustion could occur over a period of days so that is good to know. Thanks for the information and the mini-review.

Planning is sometimes the best part, because the anticipation of the trip is in your grasp, the hard part is after your trip.:wizard: Keep having fun!:cool1:
