Anyone have any updates on the renovations? I'm really hoping they're ahead of schedule as I requested Tahiti...and it's supposed to start renovations in July and we check in September 18th.

Is staying at the polynesian worth the price?

For us, it's definitely worth it . We love everything about the Poly and can't wait to return in December.

BY FAR! People either Love it or Hate it, but if you truly appreciate the Polyensian for what it is...Magical and Complete Paradise You will love it! Can't wait to go back and I literally just returned!

SO EXCITED! We are bringing 2 girls (cousins) to WDW in June who have never been! I am a DVC member so we are staying the first 5 nights at WLV and was able to snag the last 3 nights with my travel agent rate at the Poly! TPV CL! I am surprising my mom as she thinks we are just staying WL regular room!! I couldn't pass it up! There is nothing like the Poly and seeing the fireworks from your room! Plus the agent rate just makes it an easy decision! YAYAY! Oh... and the girls won't know until we pick them up the morning of!

What a great surprise!!! Everyone's going to have a great time .

Well after much discussion this past weekend, we have decided to do our first Split Stay, this summer

I hope it turns out smoothly!!! It will be our first time at Poly (which has been a dream of mine for quite some time!)

Poly first, then BC/YC for the end of our trip.

What a great split. The Poly is our favorite resort, but we did love the BC and being within walking distance to Epcot and DHS was very convenient. Splitting between them is the best of both worlds .

I was just looking at Tahiti ----- don't know why I thought it was for club level guests It might be another one to put on my list!!! (nevermind, it's set for refurb in July)

I do also want a refurbished room, did I read correctly that all the longhouses will have double sink vanities?

Yes. All will have double sinks. What are your dates? I think they're figuring about 2 months per longhouse, according to tikiman's site.

You might get lucky and it would be done? But...I wouldn't think they'd be ahead of schedule. unfortunately I know.

Yes. All will have double sinks. What are your dates? I think they're figuring about 2 months per longhouse, according to tikiman's site.

Looking at Poly July 19 - 23rd then check out and head to BC.

Looking at tikiman's site, I am thinking Tokelau (sp?) might be a nice longhouse to request? Want a balcony, garden view level, close to both TTC and GCH/Pool.

can anyone tell me about that longhouse? would I be better off requesting a different one?

We are splitting between YC and the Poly too after our own set of exhaustive discussions. We have done it before and, other than the actual move, it is truly the best of both worlds.

We love Tokelau. It is the best equidistant location to everything and most of the views are lovely.

One other question in regards to split stay....how do your passes work??? Aren't they connected to room keys??

One other question in regards to split stay....how do your passes work??? Aren't they connected to room keys??

We bought tickets for the number of days we needed for both stays and continued to use the old KTTK room card the entire trip. I think it is possible to get the tix moved to your new KTTK card but we didnt bother. This was in December 2010 so if it has changed I hope someone lets us both know!

My DS and mom are doing a YES class at MK at 8:15 AM. The park doesn't open until 9 AM that day. My issue is getting from Poly to MK in time for the class. What time does the monorail and boat start?

The monorail runs, I believe, an hour before park opening. Not sure about the boats though. Actually, the monorail runs even earlier I think because we had an ADR at Crystal Palace at 8:05 and we took the monorail before 8am. Hopefully someone will come along to clarify.

If I am not mistaken, I'm pretty sure the monorail starts running at 7am.

Just made our reservations!!!! Starting out at Poly July 19th for 4 nights, then we will switch over to BC for the remainder of our vacation.

I'm so jealous!!! We're currently booked 8/13-8/15 at AoA, switching to Poly CL on 08/15. Thought with this discount we could switch those first two nights to Poly CL so I could spend the whole week there, but no availability for me
