I already asked this in another thread, but I thought this might be a good place to get the answer. Does anyone know how early the Magic Kingdom monorail runs each day at the Polynesian? I'm trying to figure out if it will run early enough for us to make our breakfast reservations at Chef Mickey's at 7:15 AM on 11/5 (we are staying at the Polynesian). If it isn't running, is there another good way to get from the Polynesian to Contemporary? Thanks

well today we switched from the poly to the wilderness lodge. So sad but couldn't be avoided since my husband lost his job yesterday! Hopefully we will get to see the poly in 2015 and since we wont know what it was like before all the changes maybe it wont bother us or maybe we will walk around while we are there in October and not like it has much as the wilderness lodge. I cant see why anyone would like walking around on the beach or sleeping in a hammock anyway (NOT) Ugh I miss it already and I haven't even been there yet O well Its Disney no matter what right!

Holly, I'm sorry to hear about your husband's job. I hope he finds something else soon! For what it's worth, although the Poly is my favorite resort on property, the WL runs a *very* close second. It is amazing there. You can watch the Electrical Water Pageant from the beach at night, the boat to MK is great, CMs amazing, the atmosphere is wonderful. We felt so immersed in the Disney experience that whole trip. I have recommended WL to many friends traveling to Disney (since it's such a reasonably priced deluxe) and every single one of them fell in love with it, too. You'll get to the Poly someday--but I am sure you'll have a fabulous time at WL!

If your checking in the next few days and have Disney dinning plan be sure they linked your account to your card. We just had to pay for lunch because our dinning plan wasn't actually linked to our card. we are apparently the second family at the quick service we ate at today.

Hi! We're going to be at the Poly at the end of September. We had originally requested a garden view room in Tahiti longhouse because we've loved it in the past. Really liked the quiet, the beach and the closeness to the TTC which we used a lot. I just read that Tahiti renovations have not begun yet and may not as there are rumors it is being turned into DVC. I'm debating 1) whether we still want to stay there even if it is not renovated and 2) where we would like to stay if it is closed for renovations while we are there. Will try to contact Disney for more info. as the date gets closer as these situations seem to change day to day but in the meantime does anyone have any suggestions for an alternative longhouse. Our priorities would be - quiet, close to beach, NOT poolside, and closeness to TTC. I am looking at Tokelau and Rapa Nui. Anyone stay in these? Pros and cons? Thanks!

It runs about an hour to hour and a half before park opening.. So depends on when MK opens.. You may need a cab.. Geez that's an early reservation!! Lol

Why am I having such trouble finding pictures of the newly renovated rooms? Can anyone give me a link where I can see them? When I switched my reservation this morning from BC to Poly, and told the CM that my husband doesn't like Poly , he said that if it was the dark rooms I should go online and look at the pictures of the new rooms that are brighter. But, I can't find them!!! Want to find them to show my husband when he gets home. Worried that he's going to give me a hard time about switching to a resort he doesn't like. Although....doesn't matter too much since he's not much of a Disney fan anyway and the rest of us Disney fans like the Poly!!!!

Haha, I know! The kids are really pumped about Chef Mickey's for breakfast and that was the only time I have been able to get so far. Nice and early. Thanks for the help.
