Ok...what happened to my ticker??:confused3 I only had 2wks and 3 days to go!!!

I posted the problem with the tickers on the technical forum yesterday. The server the Dis uses for the tickers is an outside server and supposedly the Dis is using too much bandwidth. The Dis folks are trying to fix it.

I hope these come thru. I'll try posting one & if it works, I'll do more. Otherwise, it's back to the drawing board...

OKAY - it didn't work.
Any suggestions?
I uploaded them to photobucket then copied the bottom link then pasted here. I must be missing a step or something...
TIA
Gretchen

Your link isn't complete. Make sure you copy the entire thing.

OK, probably creepy, but...

This is what the link looks like for that picture:

Except the ()s should be []s. If you just click in "IMG Code" when you pull up the pic you want to post, it usually copies automatically (if you're looking at the single picture, not in album view). If you're in alblum view, right click on the "IMG Code" and hit select all. That way you're sure to copy the entire thing. Then copy and paste.

I'm one of those to say nay to the nay sayers and yea to more bar space, pool space and chair space. Whoop! They are clueless as to what they are missing. I truly appreciate other opinions but one needs to look at the whole picture. If you have an issue attend to it or (kindly meant) shut up! Nothing is perfect but do not expect it to be adjusted unless you advise the powers that be.

Here here!!! Finally someone that supports my view!! :worship:

Gretchen, welcome back! How was your trip? Did I somehow miss your report? I was thinking about you on April 15. Looking forward to your pics!

We leave in 17 days and 22 hours!!!! I'm very excited and my DD#1 is counting down the days to visit mickey in his home. I can't wait to see her face when she sees the castle from the hotel grounds!!!

One question for those - does anyone know if they sell whole milk at either Captain cooks or the shop upstairs - we didn't look last time b.c we had a car and did a grocery shop. Also can you get whole milk yogurt anywhere at the resort?

One last question. We are celebrating DD#2's 1st birthday while we are there- she turns one our last full day of the trip. Will the poly do anything small (like a simple card or a single balloon) for her birthday? Is there a way to arrange something small (she is too young to bother spending a lot of money on something big) I thought just a small gesture would be nice to try to do. I'm already planning to do a cake on her birthday at dinner but I was thinking something small for the room.

I'm not sure I would count on them doing anything themselves. What I would do is buy something yourself and make arrangements to have it left it your room or whatever it is you would like to have done.

Not to change the subject ;) but I read somewhere that Captain Cooke's has sushi? Is that true? Is it any good? I just started eating it recently and I LOVE it! :cutie:

Hi fellow LIer.

That is fine! I'm happy to do it - I just didn't want to duplicate anything they might do. How do I go about arranging something small - like maybe a stuffed animal and balloon in the room.

Yes, it has sushi. DH had it when we were there and he thought it was good! It's in the refrigerator at Captain Cook's.

It is a fantastic resort and one of my personal faves, but it also can have issues. Maybe it is good that the good and bad about the resort comes out so people have realistic expectations when booking a resort stay there.

Well said. :thumbsup2

I don't even know if there is a problem with "managment." It seems to me that the recent reports all involve people making calls and having no resolution. Totally unacceptable but it could be a problem with whomever is taking the calls lately.

We are just back from the Poly and you will all be happy to know I posted a glowing report on the Resorts Board. We had a wonderful time and did not encounter any troubles.

Everything was clean and service was great.

Glad to hear you had such a great trip. :goodvibes

:rotfl2: OH How this made me laugh!

All I know is that I can't wait for the pool, the fireworks on the beach, Kona, CC & Ohana.....Oh and the DRINKS!

We are down to SINGLE digits POLY people! :cool1:

Getting close!!! :cool1:

You can order from the Disney Florist but it won't be inexpensive. Another idea is to just bring a card with you and purchase a stuffed animal when you arrive. Have fun!

Re checking ids at the pool....as someone said it isn't consistent nor is it even frequent but we've been there when a guard checked ids before handing out towels. I imagine they decide when it's crowded enough to warrant that. Personally I'm glad they've not enclosed the pool as happened at SAB. It would so destroy the ambiance IMO.

So has anyone else had two sets of blanket and pillow in the closets?

LOL, Tess. Are you saying that you haven't or shaking your head at my fixation on this. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:lmao:That we've never had two sets in our closet. In 2008, I would have killed for an extra blanket/pillow since I was so sick and chilled at night. I asked, but didn't receive.

Oh, that is just wrong that you didn't get another set when you were sick.

I think someone there is not being responsive to calls. Mine was a minor irritation but that was bad service in your case.

Thanks for the responses, Tess.

I dont want to read the whole thread, but this might have been covered before. At Captain Cooks if you use the electronic screen to order is that just for grill items etc. Do I have to do if for something like a danish, salad etc? TIA.
