I'm right there with you except on May 1st! Every morning my daughters ask, what are we going to do today??? I can't wait to say... what do you think about going to disney?

I wish we could have done this!.....we just could not keep it a secret. This is a really cool way of surprising your kids! DH and I said for our trip next year that we would try this .....we will see if I can keep a secret. Looks like you are going at a great time....crowds should not be too bad and the heat of Florida will be extemely bearable....actually not hot at all. I'm waiting for our ticker to say less than 1 month!!!! We can hardly wait!!!!!

We just upgraded from Pop to Poly today! We decided the convenience of the Poly just can't be beat with 2 wee ones (and a 40%off pin didn't hurt either! )!

Just wanted to say HI!

You will not regret this decision at all!!!!!!!!!! It's hard to beat the convenience of the monorail when you have small children. That's one of the reasons we are staying at the Poly, too. It will certainly be nice when you have to go back to the hotel for afternoon naps....very close to MK...just push the strollers onto the monorail. It's great not having to fold up the strollers to get on the bus!

As far as Tokelau, we stayed in the corner room nearest MK last Sept. We saw the EWP perfectly from the balcony. When we wanted more room, we went out to the end deck and watch both Wishes and the EWP with a perfect view of both.

i have never stayed at poly before... what is the "end deck?"

I tryed so hard to keep everything a surprise for my dd6 but I lost that battle 1 month after we booked it.....I am so weak! However neither my DH or DD know about the Wishes Desert Buffet..hopefully I can keep that secret until we get there

Not long now for you guys, right? It's your pics from Tuvalu originally that had me requesting Tuvalu, and I'm so glad I did! I bet if you post some pics from GF, I'm going to be wishing I could stay there next year!

Not long--29 days before I have to pay off the package, then another 45 days until we leave. It feels like forever! I know when I get to the GF I'll love it. We're still dining at the Poly and DD10 still has ressies at the Neverland Club so I'll also have lots of pics to post from there.

CONGRATS!! With two little ones, your sanity will be SO saved by staying at a monorail resort. So easy to just take the monorail for a relaxing ride back to the resort for a nap or swim time. And yeah, that 40% off is a big bonus!

There are small deck-like areas on the exterior staircases to the longhouses. In the case of Tokelau, the exterior staircase faces the lagoon. At least that is my best guess.

So I stayed at the Swan/Dolphin this time and it was nice but nothing beats the Poly. My mom and I even made a special trip there just to shop and look around at the Poly. I tell everyone that the Poly is my favorite resort and if it had a hot tub, it would be even better

I think Tokelau has staircases at both ends....it is such a large longhouse. Pretty sure all three newer longhouses do. Positive about Rapa Nui. Maybe they all do? Hmm, something new to learn about the Polynesian. Oh, wait...Hawaii only has the exterior stairs at the East side. Does have that interior stairwell on the West side.

This is making me sad. I am really looking forward to my next trip to the Polynesian in 27 days, but this will be our last time staying there for a little while.

I know how your feel. Our trip isn't for 11 months yet, but it will likely be the last of our big trips. We went in 2007, 2009 and then it will be 2011. The kids are getting older, it will be too hard to take them out of school. DS will be in 3rd grade next year, and they will miss 6 days of school. I think that's about the last year I'm willing to do it. We definitely wouldn't go in 2012 right away again, and after that he'd be in middle school. DH doesn't fly, and we're in Ohio, so we need to take a good chunk of time in order to get down there, enjoy and get back. We also don't like the big crowds, so going when school is out..... not a great idea, especially with DH.

I won't say this will be our last time ever going, I doubt that. But I think future trips may just be a day or two partnered with a FL beach trip. Or maybe a mother/daughter trip, etc. (DH isn't nearly as into it as I am, it took persuading for trip #3!) I do think this will be our last "big" trip, staying onsite (Poly of course), doing the dining plan, etc. And that's sad....

So I know how you feel. All the planning and build up is a HUGE part of the fun for me. I've been in almost constant state of Disney planning since late 2005. It will be about 5 1/2 years of Disney research, planning, DISBoard-loving!! I'm trying to make the best of it, knowing this is the last main trip, soaking up all the fun!
