I just have to thank you guys and tell you how much this thread has brightened my rotten night. I have beenin bed all week, and am feeling so sorry for myself. Tonight I woke up around 4 am and I will spare you the details but let's just say that on top of how sick I already was to begin with, this thing apparently went to my stomach.
since I certainly could not just drift right off to sleep after that, I decided to hop on my iPad for a bit. Sincerely, I have to say, as rock-bottom miserable as I was an hour ago after cleaning up the horror scene in my bathroom, after catching up on the last ten or so pages on this thread, I have had a smile on my face multiple times and am distinctly cheered up. Just reading everyone else's thoughts and experiences on a place I love so much seriously warms my heart, and it has been a lovely escape from reality. You guys rock.
And for some reason the pic of that golden retriever on the snow bank cracked me up so much I looked at it like 4 times. He looks like he's just lounging around up there, like he might on a grassy hill in springtime, lol!
Im home sick as well.. Just drank some theraflu hoping to feel better and get some sleep..I cant breathe, cant swallow, cant sleep, muscles ache..YUCK

Day dreaming about the Poly...

I too had the sore throat/cough/cold that turned into the stomach flu
It sure helps to daydream of the Poly when laying sick in bed!
Mousekeeping seemed to be running a little slow overall, with not as much pep in its step as we saw when we were there over the crazy busy New Year's holiday two years ago. We got new soap each day, but no new lotion.
I got Tonga Toast for breakfast on our departure day, having read so much about it, and I thought it was totally worth the hype -- YUM. My favorite dinner dish was the pan-asian noodle dish at Kona Cafe -- they made it with sauce on the side for me, and everything was fresh and delicious. DH wasn't as keen on his "sustainable fish" -- he said it was very bland.
We had a similar experience with transportation to WCC and the food. It took us an hour because of some issues with a bridal party on another boat clogging up our boat dock and by the time we were able to dock, we had just missed the WL boat and had to wait. THe food at WCC was pretty icky. We should have never ordered the skillet cuz everything tasted like smoke and after a few bites...just couldn't keep eating the same taste over and over. Kids loved the atmosphere and antics. If we ever return, we will just order steaks or something cooked to order.
but I don't think too many people will mind.

He heads to the gym and walks around the resort. I always say I'll join him one day, but I'm always so exhausted! I'll have to tell him to be on the lookout for Alli.
