AWESOME PICS!! I just had a question about the bike rentals..we didn't get to do this last time at the Poly. All the research I did said that the bikes at the Poly only seat 4Is this at the Poly? We are a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids 10-6-3) and I would LOVE to do this
Thanks for taking the time to post your pictures! We'll be at the Poly in about 3 1/2 weeks and can't wait!!
Thanks for the pics logpey! I really enjoyed looking at them, sitting in bed next to hubby he isn't feeling well and is already asleep!lol
MAJOR props to GuitarRob for taking up the torch for the Poly FAQ threat! It looks awesome! And thanks to BreezysMom for all her hard work.
Sorry I've been MIA. I know I owe my trip report to give my perspective of a Poly Girl who finally stayed at the Grand Floridian but life intervened in a huge way. I got laid off from my job in February (I saw it coming a mile away) but we still went on our trip to the GF and visited the Poly as planned in June. All of the posts in the Poly thread really kept me going when I was bummed out so I wanted to say thanks.
Yes, I'll be posting my trip report sometime this week and I'll try to scramble out photos from our stays at the Poly for the thread. And yes, I did get another job which I start on Monday.![]()
No Rob, it's all afternoon--noon until 4:00 p.m. or so, IIRC?
Just back last night. Still working on finishing my live report and starting my dining report. Here are some photos from our "garden view" room, Samoa longhouse, room 3604:

These were taken from my phone. I have better ones from the camera, which I haven't been able to upload yet due to computer problems. IMO, this is the best "garden view" room in WDW! We could see most of the volcano pool, the firepit in 'Ohana, all of the GF, the wedding pavilion, part of the lagoon, and even a piece of the monorail track, plus lots of the beautiful gardens of the Poly. And you could not beat the location! We were steps away from the GCH, both pools, Captain Cook's, 2 mintues from the marina and monorail stop, 3-4 minutes from the bus stop and laundry, and 8 minutes from the TTC (that's from the door of room to the monorail loading platform). This room was a dream come true for our family! I felt like I was in heaven. When we were planning, I was kind of secretly wishing for a lagoon/tpv room, but I was SO THRILLED with this view, I would not have wanted to trade it, especially for the price!
Please follow the link from my signature for my live report, or feel free to ask any questions.
My kids are in a themed pool at WDW for heaven's sake. They don't need to be entertained on top of that!
Wow! Talk about a great view!We are headed there in 28 days and requesting Samoa, so heres hoping we get your room!!
Thanks for the pics!
