Tell me about this show. Is it worth it? I've heard both excellent things and horrible things. Tell me your honest opinion. It seems like it could be fun, but I just want to make sure it's worth it.

the all you can eat dinner is pretty good .......my sil and brother and his whole family said that the show was equal to what they saw in Hawaii when they went there......
we have been 6 or so times and have enjoyed the show and the food...remember that people all have likes and dislikes......especially on the boards.....

i can't decide whether to go or not either. I hear great things about HDDR, but the menu doesn't appeal to me as much...decisions, decisions

There was a review tread a week or so ago...the reviews about the show/food were mixed and more to the poor side. I had ressies, but cancelled them...gives us a extra meal credit to use and more time in the parks. I was also afraid that my DD & DS would be cold in the outside atmosphere (we were to go the end of Dec.).

Maybe I should just listen to Pumba's suggestion - Everyone does have different likes and dislikes, so I think we're just going to keep our reservation and see how we like it. Sometimes you have to gamble. :scared:

We loved it! The show is a little cheesy but very entertaining. The dancing and fire antics are super. The food was the best we had that trip. Very flavorful and our server was right on top of my high maintenance family. I'd definately recommend giving it a shot. :thumbsup2

I say go for it! We are going in January and have a reservation for the Aloha show. I had read all of the threads on the Disboards - but I showed my kids the youtube video and they thought it looked fun. I also had a person at my church attend it with her family and kids and they enjoyed it a lot. Also, we can't experience anything similar to that here in South Dakota, so it will be a unique experience for us.

As always, to each his own. But I can say that six of us went in June. 4 stayed for the whole show, and 4 wished they wouldve gone back to the room with the first two..
We had seen the torch lighting (at 6 at the GCC) so, I didnt feel like I missed anything with the flame juggling..The food wasnt all that great, but it wasnt my taste..The chicken we got tasted catered and felt undercooked.
I think they gear the show toward all ages, if you know what I mean..
I can say that it was packed full. Lots of people really love this show. As for my family, we'd have rather been on Buzz Lightyear another half dozen times..
