Ok, so this is my family's first trip to Disney and we have the DxDp. There are so many choices for restaurants and we're not sure where to go! We have a 7 year old and 3 year old and need places that are great for kids. Which are your favorite/ the best places in each park to take young kids? HELP PLEASE!

Since you will have so many credits, you will have a lot of choices to make. I will give my usual caveat - make sure you know that you really want the deluxe dining plan with 2 small children. You will be spending a lot of time sitting in restaurants, getting to restaurants, waiting for tables, etc. Many people don't realize how much that might eat into their park touring or down time.

Kids usually universally like these buffet & fixed-price meals, for the characters:
Chef Mickey's @ Contemporary
Akershaus Princess Dining
Cinderella's Royal Table
Hollywood & Vine
Crystal Palace
'Ohana Breakfast @ Poly
1900 Park Fare @ Grand Floridian
Whispering Canyon @ Wilderness Lodge (no characters, but a lot of fun with the staff)

Doesn't mean they have the best food, but generally they are okay and the characters are fun.

We did the DxDP on our anniversary trip without our kids. It was a LOT of food and a LOT of time in restaurants- my kids would have gone nuts and they're older than yours. So I totally agree with pp you might want to consider the reg. DDP especially for your first trip (I think I read that). It is still plenty of food.
Our new favorite character meal is Garden Grill in Epcot great food, great character interaction!!!
Have fun planning!
