Almost time for Groucho's traditional live trip report...

Glad to see the meetup went well. Sorry I couldn't make it...the rain on Saturday made me choose MK that day, so I could have a dry Sunday for AK - AK being my favorite and can't miss photo park. I could have added to the Sony representation, plus 4 lenses!

I'm sure there will be a next time, to meet up with a few more DISers. I'm still working my way through my photos in the evenings, while catching up at work during the days...so I need a few more nights to get all my photos processed, resized, and uploaded.

What a great TR! Can't wait for you to process 75g of memory and toss a link up here. That should only take a day or two, right :lmao:.

Thanks spinetnglr! WillowBella, it may take a little bit of time. :teeth: It doesn't help that when I got home, I only had room on my main PC for the first four days of photos! :lmao: I've been reorganizing stuff and trying to delete some things... I can probably fit day 5 and 6 now. :) Gotta start tagging them and then start the PP work...

Yeah, I figured that we probably shouldn't expect you based on the weather. FWIW I had a fine time in the rain on Monday at AK - of course, it was a bit warmer! Still, it rained most of the day on and off, including pouring during a 35-minute-long Safaris ride! The only thing I don't like is being limited to my two sealed lenses.

I've begun the "full" trip report, you can find it here, it's in the Trip Reports section of the board. There's also a link in my signature. More details and a lot more photos - did I actually just post 35 pics for day one? That was probably a bit of an overkill... :)

I'm still recovering from the trip (I went hyper-commando and somehow ended up losing 11 lbs in 6 days, yikes) and haven't even started looking at my photos, but I wanted to stop by here say that it was great meeting you and your family, and Kevin and the other Jeff too. Really glad the summit was a go!

Look at the pretty Sony snuggled in there! :goodvibes

:thumbsup2

Ouch! I think if I lost 11 lbs, I might blow away. :rotfl2: It was great meeting you too, sorry again that I was so late.

We haven't done hardcore commando mode since 2003, when we did almost every attraction in four days... now that was commando! I would enjoy going a bit faster but it's so hard with the family especially with two kids. I had a zillion photos that I would have liked to take but couldn't since I was either pushing a stroller (which I did pretty much the whole time), holding a kid, or holding a kid's hand. It makes it a bit tough! Oh well, the price of bringing kids - as I'm sure you're understanding especially as your three get older! :faint:

LOL- I guess we should have stopped between 2pm and EMH Closing to eat more than a Pretzel. (Wait- you had a Churro!)

 I would have loved to have been able to run around with you guys like that but sorry, I would have had to stop for something - at least a cookie or Mickey's Premium! If we'd just had the one kid, I probably could have gotten permission from the wife but I didn't even bother asking now. ;)

I was going to leave and come back for the end of EMH but we ended up hanging around late enough that I would have only had an hour or an hour and a half... it's tough to get back to the hotel at 9 or later and turn around and head back out when you're only getting that much time. If it was one of the 2am EMH nights then I definitely would have. :)

I don't ever have a weight loss problem at WDW. I love to eat there about as much as I like to take pictures! Especially last time when we had the meal plan and we there for a week.

After we left you all, we headed over to EPCOT, rode Test Track and Space, and stll managed to get on the road by 6:00. We had to stop for dinner at our favorite fast food Italian place, Fazoli's, in Winter Haven. Not having on in town is one of the few things we really miss from Kentucky.
