almost sad I am not from Texas

The van we rented this week at WDW had Texas plates. Everyday we had the van out several people asked us where in Texas we were from.

We had to end so many conversations with it is just a rental.

Who in the world drove the van from Texas to Orlando in the first place? That must have been a long trip!

LOL, I have had that before....When my DH and I rented a car in Philly, it was dark at the National rental. We were looking at the cars and saw one with FL plates. We took that one...as we were Floridians ourselves..we just had to have a memory of home..LOL..My inlaws got a kick out of it

Last summer we flew from Alabama to Seattle. Our rental car had a Broward County Florida tag. We had lots of comments from people about that. We told them we knew how to vote, it was just a rental

We drove it last year in a Beetle. The van would have been nice. It's about 14 hours if DH drives, 17 hours if I do.

That sounds like our stats JTB. I think that DH would knock off another two hours if he didn't need smoke breaks.

It's a 1.5 day trip. Not bad, but we still prefer to fly.

For us, it would be about 26 hours-almost half of it just to get out of Texas! Actually it would be fun to meet other people from this area in WDW, but we always fly.

We've driven to WDW from Texas, it's a nice drive, Interstate all the way. No one even noticed we had Texas plates while we were there

It's not that far between Houston and Orlando. It's a shorter trip than Michigan to Orlando
