Almost ready....most people put on front or back of shirts?

I was thinking about a little mickey head on front of shirt and then design on back.
How do you figure out the placement of it? I know it needs to be centered...but how far down? How did you go about figuring that out?
Any other suggestions are welcome!
I have three ladies v neck type of shirts that I was planning on using.

how about putting on the shirt and holding up the iron-on and letting someone else help you figure out best placement?

And once you've done that, measure with a ruler how far down from the collar and how far over from the right or left seam it is so that you can put the transfer in the right place after the shirt is off.

I do both just depending on the design. I think it can just kind of be your decision.
