I've been dying to go back to WDW since...well the minute we got back from our last trip LOL. We are now hoping for Sept 2007. That would put the baby at almost 8 mos. I'm worried that is just way too young. I guess I don't want the others (3 kids) to feel like they are missing out on stuff b/c of all the down time the baby will need. Who else has gone w/a baby around that age?

Last time we went DD was 9 months and DS was 4. It was fine! We brought my MIL along to stay with DD while we went on rides. She enjoyed sitting on a bench playing with the baby (not much of a ride enthusiast). The rides DD could go on (which actually are alot, all things considered) MIL did too. Worked great! Plus, my DD got SO much attention from the characters. Great photo ops!!! :thumbsup2

If it were me, I would hold off and go somewhere else with the family. Sept is so hot and humid at WDW, plus it is peak hurricane season. I would not want to be stuck with an infant in a hurricane and its aftermath. I might consider Oct/Nov, but also keep crowds in mind (pushing a stroller, germs, etc).

Will there be another adult with you? When we went my youngest dd was 12 months, and my dh and mother would sit out with her while I rode with the others. Also there are alot of fantasyland rides that you could bring your baby on. In my opinion if you had another adult with you, go for it, if not I would probably wait, only so , like you said the other kids won't feel like they aren't getting to do enough.

My DH would be going and we might be able to talk my MIL into going w/us. She went on the last 2 trips w/us. I felt so bad because she won't ride anythng that goes fast, spins around or leaves the ground. Doesn't leave too much for her to do. She spent most of the time sitting on a bench waiting for us. It would be alot easier if she would go though. Here's to wishful thinking. pixiedust:

We went in April.....DD was 7 months. I would do it again in a heartbeat. SHe was the easiest one to accomodate! :) It was me, Dh, DD's 5 and 3 and then the baby. We packed accordingly and used the misting fan alot on her to cool her off. Reapplied sunscreen and didn't stay out late. I am lucky to have a very easy going baby so I know that helped out a lot.

We did rider swaps for most rides and then is so much going on around the parks that she was easily entertained while waiting for everyone to ride.

We did early morning and went back to the room in time for bedtime. She napped in her stroller.

If you want to know anything else, just ask!

Oh yeah, we also put a carrier in the stroller basket for those areas where strollers aren't allowed.

My DD was 8 months on our last trip in February. It was great. The older kids got to do more than usual because we got baby swap passes for all of the best rides. The baby swap passes allow you to take two guests with you. So, they would go on with my DH and then they took turns going on things with me. The baby had a great time and was easy. She rode a ton in MK and enjoyed Epcot. MGM was a little harder to do with her because there are so many shows and at times she was fussy for those, but I would take her and we would search out characters and get our pictures taken. It was nice. I would go for it if you think you and the baby can stand the heat.

We took DS for his first trip last fall when he was 8.5 mos. Now it was just us and no other kids so maybe that makes it easier ???

Anyways, we had a great time. The biggest pain was flying down and flying back, although nothing was wrong, it's just alot of juggling with car seats and strollers, etc. Anyways, once we were there we had a great time. DS flourished there...he learned to wave, started crawling and cut yet another tooth! Lots of memories at least for us...

I wouldn't let anything stop you if you want to go. You CAN do it and make it work and have a great time!
