Allure - Room Service

it is included, but I think late night there is a fee for it.. like 6 or 7 bucks.

Hmmm...I was reading something on cruisecritic or some website, and it said room service was not included! I thought how ridiculous!
I just double checked online.. and there is a fee of $7.95 for it to be delivered.

So the food ordered is free, but there is a service fee and also a gratuity will be added? All this stuff can add up, it seems!

Yes, food is free but there is a charge to have it delivered.

Except continental breakfast which is free and delivered free as well.

I guess if you get room service a lot it can add up. I have only been on RCL once since the service charges started, we'd just get food and bring it back to the room if we needed a snack.

All the little extras like this could add up. I have a disney cruise scheduled for September, but it's double the price of Royal Caribbean, which is no secret here. I'm just really confused as to what to do! LOL And I actually put a deposit down last night, making sure several times that it would be refunded if I changed my mind within 24 hours. Only to get the statement/receipt via email after I got off the phone with RC, and read the fine print that said the deposit is NOT refundable! I don't want a cruise credit for the amount. I called and they are supposed to refund the money to me, as I was not truthfully told it was non-refundable. So I kind of have a sour taste in my mouth at the moment. But it's hard to ignore that it's half the price! Ugh, decisions, decisions!

Well if you order room service once a day for 7 days it's less than $70. Disney includes soda/pop so if you drink that, you'd have to add it on. Soda pkg is about $15 - 18 per day, per person, including gratuity and depending if you can get it on sale. But you could go higher for Drinks if you wanted to. Or no soda if you don't need it. So $126 per person for a week, times 4 people, plus the room service... $574. I'm going to assume that's not quite the difference in prices.

For the deposit, when you go through the process, if you want the non-refundable deposit, it will cost more for the cruise and you have to select the option. However, I think if you choose a guarantee category you don't get the option to choose the refundable deposit. On the checkout page it's under where you choose the dining time you want, and the option to include the gratuities.

Where on line did you find it? I am having trouble maneuvering around Royal's website! I have a Disney cruise scheduled and just looking into things with Royal. And THANK YOU!
I was on Allure last year before covid and kinda remember looking at the room service menu and noticing that they have a charge. You can just google it.. found it fast .

We were on the Harmony in 2019 and ordered room service for breakfast. We marked a time of 7:00 - 7:15, at 8:00 it still hadn't come and we had to leave for an excursion. Several passengers had the same problem so their room service is highly unreliable and I wouldn't recommend it.

Nice ship, enjoy. And yes a service charge And of course ur tip. It adds up fast over the course of the cruise but I think it’s worth it for the convenience. It was always served on time and we enjoyed bkfst on the balcony each morning. That being said We’d again do that Xtra dining pkg upgrade as well, lol.

There is a service/gratuity fee, so if you order room service…MAKE IT COUNT! Order a lot, not just 1 item. We always use room service, but it is usually just a couple times per cruise at most And usually later at night.
Never thought it was a bad deal to get that much food for $8
