:confused3 Please help...We are planning our second disney vacation...last was about 15 years ago...We will be there the first week of August, had to work around my youngest sons baseball schedule. We are staying at ALLSTAR SPORTS, have been reading different places about some problems there...staff not friendly or helpful...Mousekeeping bad....etc...could someone who has recently stayed there please help aleviate my anxiety....(or confirm it???) ...while there is still time to change resorts??

I haven't stayed at Sports, we stayed at All Star Movies last fall and it was fine. I had read similar things that you have heard, but we didn't have any problems at all. We were there during Hurricane Jeanne, and the staff was helpful and friendly to us. We did walk through Sports one day, just around the resort itself, not in any of the rooms or anything, and it looked like it would be fun. With any hotel/resort, no matter where or what, there are always people who don't like something about it, or who did get bad service for whatever reason, but you don't hear from many of the people who have a great stay at these places.

There was another thread yesterday or the day before on this board asking about Sports, you might want to scroll down a couple of pages and see if you can find it too.

Thanks alot BBB...you said the same thing my husband said....some people would complain about anything. We dont plan on spending alot of time in the room anyway...that's why we chose a Value resort....I know my youngest son (12) will enjoy the sports theme. Just the 4 of us are coming to disney, 12 yr old son, 22 yr old son, hsband and myself....19 yr old son is going to stay home to work ( imagine that????) We are so looking forward to our trip. :)

I wouldn't change resorts because of postings on these boards. There is not one resort value to deluxe that has not had bad reports. If it fits your budget and you like the theme go for it!

Hi Adamsmom

We have just got back from 2 weeks at the All Star Sports and we loved it. The CM's were very helpful, everywhere was clean and our Mousekeeper was great, I don't know if was anything to do with leaving a daily tip, but we had lots of towels and soaps everyday.

This was our 4th trip there and we wouldn't hesitiate to stay there again.

Thanks MandyMouse...I just couldn't hardly imagine a Disney resort, Value or not....not being nice. When we were there the 1st time...all those years ago we stayed at Fort Wilderness and camped, it was great. Youngest son had heard so much over the years about our disney vacation....it was really his idea to go this year. He is really excited.

We were at All Sports 2 years ago and loved it. My boys were 8 and 6. And my biggest boy (DH) was 30-something. They ALL loved it. So did I. The theming was great. The mousekeeping left towel animals every night. It was in July, so I know that it was busy season, however we did not notice it to be noisy. We'd stay there again, but we have 5 people in our family and it cannot fit 5 people. Enjoy!

We stayed at Sports back in 1998 and had no problems, we had a great stay.
On that note, never change your resort based on the boards. Everyone has different opinions and ideas of what they want their WDW vacation to be. Go with your gut and have fun!!!
