Allstar Music or Sports?

We are cruising DCL on October 22nd and I managed to convince my dh that we should take the kids to MNSSHP the night before. (Took me a while, too!) We decided staying on property was better than driving to port that late, but the only thing left is ASMu or sports. Actually, there is also Caribbean Beach for $30 more.

This is for one night, sleep and leave, but I still like to stay somewhere fun. Which resort would the rest of you knowing DIS'ers recommend?

(BTW, my kids are ds11 and dd7. DD plays soccer and softball, so she's not adverse to sports.)

I like Music the best, but we don't travel with younger kids. For 1 night I don't think it really matters anyway. The rooms are basically the same, as are the food courts, pools, and bus service. It just depends on which theme you would prefer...

For just one night I do not think it matters at all but I prefer Sports. Better bus service, next to a McD's, and I have stayed there so often I know my way around well.

Enjoy your trip and let us know how you liked everything when you return, please?

DW, DD and I stayed in All Star Music and loved it. Only item we thought of was dual vanities - which Carribean Beach has. Just for one night you should enjoy any of the choices. Check out Allearsnet for more information on each resort.

My boys like Sports.. it really doesn't matter for one night but you could show them pictures and let them decide.

Definately (for us) sports. We like the football section, and try to kick a few through the uprights when we are there.

We have stayed at both and they are pretty much alike...I would go for sports, because it is the first bus stop for Disney transportation.

Have a wonderful cruise!

Thanks for the info/advice. :) I have stayed at ASMu once and liked it ok, but without my kids. I was leaning that way until I read all the votes for sports and especially that being the first bus stop, which I hadn't considered. For a one night quick stay that could really make a difference. After driving down all day and MNSSHP I know we'll be tired.

Also forgot to say that the stop at WDW is a complete surprise for my kids, so I can't ask their opinion.

Guess this will be my opportunity to add Allstar Sports to the list of properties I've stayed at. :)

Thanks again!

Either should make your kids happy but I would try Sports if you haven't stayed there yet.
