Hi all,

Just wanted to pop on this board and say "hi" -- never realized there was a Canadian-specific board on here! My hubby and I are 36, have two little ones 2 & 3 years old (... the 2 year old hasn't been to WDW yet, while the 3 year old has been twice!) We usually travel down to WDW once every year or so for two weeks, usually in fall, and usually with my senior parents. It's great, familiar, cozy -- just love it. <3

But ... right now I'm super frustrated about an upcoming trip I want to book (relatively short notice - mid-Nov), and it's making me want to just throw in the towel and not go.

We normally drive down (we're in the Toronto area) in an RV over the course of a few days, roll up to FW, get one of our usual sites, and set up camp!

Now I'm trying to book a resort, for a ridiculously large group, and it's proving to be a massive pain in the rear. :headache:

Nice to meet you all!

Glad you found us!! Always nice to see another Canuck planning a trip. But urgh, planning a trip for a group is not fun! Been there, done that and refuse to do it again! So hard to please everyone, things are never easy. Are you trying to make these plans for this November (I'm a bit tired this morning)? If you give me an idea of what you're trying to do I'll see what i can do to help you. Our basement is in the middle of massive emergency renovations and all i do now is sit in the living room, balancing the laptop on my knees while i kill time. Since we're leaving in a month (woot 1 month today) most of my time is spent looking at all things Disney anyway so I can help point you in the right direction if need be.

If all you want is to rant I'm pretty good at that too :rotfl2:

Well welcome!!! I so agree with Donald - my hero planning for a large group can be:headache:. but travelling with a large group can also be fun, in my experience for a couple of times, enjoy!!! :thumbsup2

Happy to hear that, we'll be leaving on Oct. 16th around 18PM or the folllowing morning at 4AM depending on DH's work schedule, we'll be driving, probably straight throught depending on what time we will be leaving.
Can't wait to step into the Pop Century's lobby!!!:yay: The past year has been busy and we had to deal with health issues and all kinds of bad things I really need my Disney fix!!! If you see someone crying (tears of joy of course) don't ask, but it will be me
Are you driving or flying, staying on or off site?

So many questions!! And man do i hear you about a long busy year. Hubby's mom died, I spent 6 weeks doing a daily commute into Toronto for medical treatments, hubby has SEVERAL contracts that are over 100 days outstanding!!, daughter just got engaged (sweet) & that should be wonderful BUT she's gay and hubby's family has been less than receptive :headache: Let's just say this has been a long time coming!!

Ok, we fly out of Pearson @ 9:30 on the 25th and arrive in Orlando at about midnight --- yeah we will both be bagged by then -- and we're spending 1 night at one of the All-Stars (better make sure i know which one before the plane lands :rotfl2:) Getting up bright and early then next morning and heading over to CBR to spend 2 wonderful weeks!!!

You would not believe the deal i snagged for the stay but OMG it is amazing!!! We've paid for our airfare, the car rental for the 2 weeks, 2 day park-to-park passes for Universal AND a camera with Airmiles.

We'll be celebrating our 30th anniversary and it should be wonderful!!
