I have been having a problem with a red rash on my arms and legs. I ran out of the Caress soap I usually use, so I grabbed a bar of Disney bath soap. I just figured out it could be causing my rash. Anyone else had this problem? :confused3

yep, the soap disney uses is ivory soap, very harsh stuff imo.

Wow thank you for that reminder- my ds is allergic to Ivory Soap so this is something I need to pack for him(his cetaphil soap!) Sorry you are itchy but you just saved an 11 year old from a very uncomfortable vacation! so thank you

It is NOT Ivory soap. It doesn't float.

I have very sensitive skin and when we went to disney several years ago I used the Disney soap to wash my face and the next day my eyes were so puffy that I had to go to a walk in clinic to get something to make the swelling go down. I looked horrible!!! I wasn't sure if it was a reaction to the soap or if it was something they use to wash the washcloths (bleach or some kind of strong detergent). Anyway, I no longer use their soap and I bring my own washcloths!

I am very sensitive to soaps. I always bring my own bar of soap no matter where we go. Also, I like to have a big bar in the bath, not those little ones.

When I break out from soap use, I get in a tub full of luke warm / cool water w/ vinegar. The vinegar gets rid of any residue from the soap. Be careful and don't get it too close to your eyes.

I hope you feel better soon.

Sorry about your rash.
The Mickey soaps are not Ivory.

I remembered reading this on another thread so I found the post and copied it. I hope the OP does not mind.

I never trust any hotel soaps and always take my own, I'm allergic to perfumes. I can use unscented soaps mostly Olay.

Yep..just came back from a long weekend and I am all broke out from the mickey soap..just as you described. I hate that stuff. I sure wish disney would step up to the plate and offer quality bathroom ammenities like other resorts.

Even if it's not official Ivory, it sure acts, feels & smells like it. I can't use it, too harsh. The Mickey Wrap is cute, but the contents are pretty nasty.
