I can get 39 dollar flights into Sanford. What is the airport like and is it easy to get to WDW? It has been 2 years since my last Disney fix and I am thinking it is time for another fix.(Actually long overdue!!):banana:

If you had planned to rent a car anyway, then that's a great deal. The drive to WDW is 45 minutes though. So if you are not renting and plan to use a taxi or limo, the distance makes that a very expensive proposition. If you planned to use DME, that is not available from Sanford. The drive itself is very easy; all expressway.

The airport is relatively small and very easy to get through in both directions. You'll find mostly European airlines on the tarmac with you.

Someone suggested flying into Sanford for us. What airport are you flying out of and where did you book through? I'm flying out of Allentown in August.

I just booked my daughter's Allegiant flight and it flies into Sanford. It was the only airline I could get to Orlando that left from an airport close to her college. We will already be at WDW when she lands so I have to arrange transportation for her. Is there a shuttle company that works from Sanford? I am trying to find the most affordable (but reliable) transportation. She will be getting in close to midnight. Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated!

We have flown into Sanford several times and have had nothing but positive experiences. With Allegiant you do have the stiff baggage fees, but for us it is still the best way to go. There are several ground transportation services that you can use at Sanford. Go to here to see them http://www.orlandosanfordairport.com/taxi_limo_shuttle.asp
I personally think that renting a car and driving yourself is the best option. Such an easy drive to Disney. You and rent a car for the trip down and then rent another one for the return if you don't need it the entire trip.

Probably the best method is to rent a car from the CCC for the day, drive out and pick her up and use the car for other errands while you have it. I've read just a car service or taxi is the only methods of transportation. No shuttle bus.

We looked into Alleigant, but after adding the luggage fees, seat fees, there was no savings for us, so we stuck with our regular carrier out of Dulles. Plus our Alleigant flight would've gotten in at 10:00PM on a Friday night (only 2 flights per week).

Thanks for the tip. I don't think that will be an option for me this trip as it will be me and my DS - age 9. My daughter's flight doesn't get in until midnight and I really don't forsee him and I staying up and driving 40 or 50 miles there and then back to get her. I'd rather spend the money and send someone else to do it. I've been looking at shuttles and town car transportation. Figure it will cost approximately $100 - $125 to get her to WDW from Sanford. I'll work it out. Looking at MH or Happy Limo to get her. They appear to be the most reliable and reasonable from what I've read. Thanks again!
