Allegiant Air?

Has anyone flown Allegiant Air into Sanford, just north of Orlando? They now fly out of Chattanooga, TN for $49 one-way. We are flying down in October for $450 for a family of 4. No Express Service, however.

We flew them out of Knoxville in May. Very nice flight. We flew to St. Pete/Clearwater instead of Sanford. We will use them again.

They're not bad... they're no frills, fly to tourist destionations, and have a good safety record.

No Magical Express.. there'a a clause in the contract with OIA that prohibits Disney from operating said shuttle service from any other airport within 100 miles (including SFB, DAB, MLB, TPA, etc). If Disney wanted to, they could offer the service from JAX, PIE, SRQ, PBI... but I doubt that many people fly to those airports to go to WDW. Maybe PIE, but that's iffy.

We flew them down this past spring break. Like others have said, no frills, good service and comfy seats. Flying out of Sanford was acutally a welcomed change as everything is much easier to navigate. Overall, I had a very good experience and wouldn't hesitate to fly them again...

We flew into Sanford out of Greensboro. Everything went well. My DH and I were discussing the "what ifs." If your flight is cancelled, you're on your own. Our tickets stated that Allegiant doesn't contract with any other airline to get you to Sanford. We weren't flying with kids so it was worth the risk for us.

You do have to pay $4 per bag checked. Assigned seating is $11. Drinks are $2 and snacks were $4 and up.

Allegiant just started our Greensboro/Sanford route. The plane was full Tuesday and Thursday.
