That was the headline in our local paper today! We're booked for October 22 and now planeloads of people will have to scramble to find seats. They say they'll provide reimbursement or offered tickets on other airlines but somehow I doubt we'll get much help from Allegiant in finding alternate flights. They claim they're flying at 85 to 90 percent capacity but high fuel costs don't allow enough profit. We had really looked forward to flying out with almost no commute to the airport but here we are, back to square one!
Anyway.....it takes me about (or did until those ceiling tiles malfunctioned!!) 40 minutes to get from my house to the Delta Terminal at Logan....55 minutes to get to the parking garage at TF Green, and 35 minutes to get to Worcester Airport. I have no problem with getting to Worc.Airport, but can imagine it could be hard to find if you aren't familier with the area. I think that perhaps we are going to have to get used to the idea of no airport for us in Worcester. The residents don't want it, airlines don't seem to be able to make a go of it..it's a lose/lose situation.
You're absolutely correct.. I meant Southwest.
(I hate it when I do dumb things like that) I edited my post...
I have just been waiting for them to come to Manchester. So if they were in Providence, then maybe there was a chance for Manchester.
By the way, I did the same thing in a post a couple of weeks ago...substituted Jet Blue for Southwest.
