Don't forget to set your alarms for 4am so you can go watch the Meteor Shower.

I hope I can do it....will let you know tomorrow.

It's supposed to hit here around 2 or 3 in the morning....but so is a snowstorm. But just in case, I do have my telescope out, though you're supposed to be able to see it with the naked eye.

Way to foggy here in northern Indiana. Just got off work at midnight and the fog is really thick. I would have loved to see it.

I willl be up waiting with my DD Kassie....we are excited...can not wait!

I am up anyway - working but plan to get a good look.

I am up now...where are all you late nighters....

I saw several real good ones:)...but now it has clouded up. :(

But I am glad i made it up to see them.

we are up.......Just came in due to the cold....bbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr......it is a clear freeeeeeezing cold nite for us!
Kassie and I counted 121 in the 30 minutes we were outside, what a light display! Glad we were able to share it together!!!

Glo.. Tom wanted to see this.. Darn,, he got to live it vicariously through your family.. You will have to talk to him about it..

Marsha tell Tom I will talk his ear off....I thought it was awesome...If I had known I would have given him a cheery wake up call at 4:30 am when we first got up....

Darn, I should have had you do that. oh well... he can live it vicariously through you.. :)

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I saw it! :bounce: I saw it!

DH got me and the kids up at 3:00AM and we watched it from the comfort of our own home! We sat in DS's room at first (faces West), then we switched to our room (faces East) because the clouds started to roll in (backwards at that  )....and it was FABULOUS!

We could 3 or 4 shooting stars at once....and it was every other second!!! We loved it!

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Oh, and the very first one I saw was sooooooooooooooo BIG, and soooooooooooo bright that as it went by it looked light LIGHTENING!!! It lit up the whole neighborhood! Very cool!

I didn't get to see as many as you guys because of the cloud cover, but i did see about 30 till the clouds totally obliterated the sky.

It was great...I was amazed at how fast they went...like speeding bullets..really, really fast.

Hey Mac-key read this to Tom.....

Here it was spectacular...it really did not matter much which way we faced, they were everywhere. They were fast steaks of light at times...so beautiful, but then again this stuff fascinates me. We had a few rather large ones that must have gone farther through the atmosphere because you could see color, almost an orangy color. Their streaks could be seen in the night sky a few seconds after the meteor passed. At other times you could see several small faint streaks across the night sky, like little whisps. So cool....The sky was cloudless for us and no moon at that time...we tried keeping up with the count, but they were coming so often and in clumps that we did the best we could. We counted 121 after half an hour, but we missed many. Lots of wishes were made on those stars.

Hey Tom, next time something like this happens we will make sure we get you up for it....
no way missing the shuttle if it goes up during Dis Con, only wish my DD Kassie was there to watch it with me.
