So BIL and SIL are joining us for an impromptu trip this fall. They live near South Bend and are going to fly. They really want to take SW airlines out of Indy or Chicago Midway. Anyone have a preference or can give advice on either?

I would price both airports and see which one they get the best rate from. I live in the Southern Indiana near Louisville, but I generally fly out of Indy as it runs significantly cheaper than Louisville, that I come out ahead even having to pay for parking.

Have they looked into Allegiant out of South Bend? They fly directly to Sanford...a much easier airport than MCO. Plus, if they don't select all the extras (priority seating, seat selection) they can do it VERY cheaply.

We use both airports & South Bend too. Fare used to be cheaper out of Indy but not so much anymore. Maybe $10-20. They can take the shuttle to MDW, not worry about driving or parking. We have found this to be easier lately, plus we are not crazy about the new Indy airport. Alligent is an easy flight, but extra fee charges & not always on time. For the price you can't complain, we have gotten $19.00 out of SB to Sanford. It is a very easy drive to WDW, about an hour. They can return car to MCO & take ME to resort. If you have more ?, pm me. HTH:goodvibes

They only fly two days that week Sunday and Thursday and unfortunately both of those do not work for them. They could do either one but not both.
