Dear Dis girls,
There is this boy on my tennis team that I really really like.  He is really nice to me and talks to me alot, but I don't think he "likes me" likes me. I am friends with his younger sister, and I told her I like him, but told her not to tell him. He is in 9th grade, and I am in 7th. I don't know what to do. I really really like him, but I really don't want to ask him out. I would rather him ask me out, but I don't think that will happen. I am going to the beach in a week and I was thinking that I could get him something and give it to him as an early birthday present, even though his birthday is in January. I don't know what to do, any advice?

~Lovestruck

Uh. . .let's see the early b-day gift doesn't seem realistic. since you know the sister maybe you should get HER something and then "casually" pick something for him too.

Good idea. Yeah, the birthday thing is kind of stupid. lol Maybe I will give something to her and then tell JCJ (the boy's initials) that I thought he would like this and then give him his gift. Thanks alot!!

Any other tips/opinions/ideas?

I think you should wait. since you are in middle school still and he is in high school. I think you should wait till you are also in high school to get serious about him. I would say get close to him as a friend right now, if you are his friend he will start thinking about you more, and might(and I almost garintee(SP?) atleast once) start thinking of you in a more romantic way. just give it time.

Thanks alot. That is really good advice. Maybe when I am in 9th and he is in 11th, something will happen. Thanks for the great advice.

Any more opinions/tips?

Uh...Wait till you are in high school too. Chances are that since he is in high school, he doesn't think of you of anymore than his little sister's friend....just try to be friends with him and wait...;)

Alot of times, guys will pretend not to like you, like you. But you never know... Many girls have a crush on their best friends brother. Heck, I have a crush on my best friend's YOUNGER brother! LOL my friend is two years older. If you really like him, go for it. Ask if he wants to go to the mall or something. Invite lots of friends so he might not know it's a date. Sometimes guys don't catch on. :confused3

I Agree! I am a high schooler and i know i would totally freak out if a seventh grader asked me out. You should wait a couples years. And believe me, there are plenty of fish in the sea. :thumbsup2

I agree with the majority... wait until you are in high school. You are still young and he is a high school boy. I don't know him, and he could be completely different from all other guys, but high school boys can be a little different from ones who are in middle school. Just give it a few years and get to know him as a friend. Also give your self time to grow up.

Kind of going along the lines of what everyone else has said....

If your in 7th grade, and he's in HS, he's not interested. Wait until your in HS, and he might be.

definately wait until you get to highschool.
if you think he's interested now, he probably will be then. (besides the fact that you'll be a frosh, but idk what it's like over there. high school around here is rather friendly)
i almost know for sure that my friends brother likes me (i hate him btw) but he would never ask me out. we've got the same age difference as you (2 years apart, I'm not in grade seven)

Thanks for all the great advice. Babyjustrun, awesome signature and avatar. lol Once again, thanks to everyone for all the advice!!

Any other tips/opinions?
