All you DLR vets help me out with dates...

I would like to make one more trip this year/early next year to DLR here are a few options as to dates...help me out with what would be the least busiest.

9/26 - 9/30
11/6-11/11
1/30 - 2/5
2/17 - 2/21

I am trying minimize the amount of days the kids would miss from school (they miss none 2/17-2/21) as DH will fuss....but I don't think I am taking him.

11/6-11/11 (will probably be busy due to Veteran's Day weekend)
1/30 - 2/5 (not busy, but potentially rainy with HM and IASW down for removal of overlays)
2/17 - 2/21 (Very crowded due to President's Day weekend)

ack, would this be true for Jan5-10 also... I do not want to miss IASW again.

Well, seeing as they will just be reopening IASW in late Nov/early Dec (rumors are they are behind schedule already), nobody knows the exact schedule of when they will take the attraction down to remove the overlay. IASW Hoiday historically stays up longer than HMH, so I would put my money on it still being up Jan 5-10.

Thought about the September dates...depending on when they get the Halloweentime stuff up and Haunted Mansion Holiday, the busy-ness might be increased b/c of HMH being newly open after being closed to get the overlay up.

I read on another thread recently that HMH is scheduled to open 9/21.

Usually my family goes late sept (it's slower because it's the first few weeks after school has started!)

Hey, HM fans are rabid, and Nightmare BC fans are rabid as well... put 'em together and you could easily get a week's worth of extra people there!

I was noticing that 21st assertion somewhere as well. I wonder where that came from, and when I go looking, all I find is a Dis page (http://www.wdwinfo.com/Disneyland/Events/Halloween.htm) that states the 21st, but elsewhere on the page it clearly states 2007, so I wonder if there's been a misunderstanding...it was my understanding in '07 that the dates were weird b/c of Thanksgiving being "early". Since this year it's "late" I wonder if it will still be as early as the 21st. Wasn't it you that mentioned they usually open it on the Friday? Rather than the Sunday the 21st will be this year?

Oooooh, you're right, that might put the opening at the 26th. That's what I get for not actually looking at the calendar and just going by what someone else says. Yeah, potentially, it could be a bit more crowded than normal, but I don't think we're talkin Veteran's Day crowds or President's Day weekend crowds.
