I should start my own travel agency for Disney with all the people I'm selling on this vacation!

I now have other friend who would like to go with us next year....

*if* she makes her ressie and pays her deposit now, can she add the "free dining" code if and when that is released to the general public to her exsisting reservation?

or will she have to make an entirely new reservation? in which case can they just transfer any payments from reservation 1 to reservation 2 with relative ease?

obviously, I'll be all over potential free dining code for the public like a cheap suit and have her call Disney the second she's able to...so I understand that there's a potential issue with availability for the particular resort she wants to book...but other than that...any words of wisdom?

Sounds like you have it covered. If a code comes out, she would be able to apply it to her existing ressie. But there may not be rooms available at the resort of her choice, so she may have to be flexible with that. It just comes down to how badly you (she) want free dining!
