I'm in Deptford nj (south jersey)we have about 16 plus and counting I would never live in the very cold with 70 inches of snow can't wait to retire in fl.
KNWVIKING -- I guess the snow is on its way here. We missed out on yesterday's prediction but I don't think we'll be so lucky tonight. 18 inches is what they are calling for. I decided maybe tonight was not the night to drive to AC for gambling.
I can't believe 2 feet of snow in DC. They are paralyzed with 2 inches! Take care everyone....let thoughts of "home" keep you warm.
Stick with the Mohegan Sun Casino. I'm not even sure AC is accessible, they're talking about major flooding. Pretty sure Rte 30 is closed, not sure about Expressway. Just take the money you were going to lose in AC and put it into your future points fund.
We should be getting close to 18 inches here in Staten Island, NYC. Kids off from school all week so I don't have to worry about shool closings, dangerous roads, etc. I am working Tues. though. I do have an SUV but I can also walk if I have to. I am sick of the cold and snow now.
Rich, if your feeling homesick you can take your shovel to the beach and shovel the white sand. But be sure to where your boots and long handles,(thats thermal underwear to all you southern folk), just for the full affect. You can even lay on your back and make sand angels.
Hi, I live in the country north of Baltimore.
I was daydreaming Disney on the internet and saw this post. I just checked, & it is 11 degrees with about 18-20" of snow with 32-36" predicted. Oh my, come on spring. Sandie
We were outside twice today using our snowblower in our yard & in two neighbors' yards. we were at about 20" & it is still snowing. I don't want to know what we'll wake up. Friends left yesterday for a week of FL sunshine.
DC is expecting a total of 24 inches of snow by Monday. Out my window I can see totally buried cars, so I think it's more than that and it's being pushed up by the snowplows and drifting.
If Monday weren't a Federal holiday already, they'd be cancelling everything. Don't know how Tuesday will turn out.
Visiting with my sis in Milton Delaware and there's lots of the white stuff - but with the blowing and drifting it's hard to measure - the cars are buried in the driveway!
Greetings from Florida!!!! After living in NJ my entire life, I made the BIG move to Florida 15 months ago ----watching the Weather Channel makes my move so RIGHT!!!!!!! I actually went out to visit my Ice Scrapers in my trunk a few minutes ago----brought back SUCH MEMORIES of COLD, SNOW, ICE and MORE SNOW!!!
So---Everyone be safe--stay warm, enjoy your Winter Wonderland and COME ON DOWN TO FLORIDA to get WARM!!!!
I am getting buried with the rest of you. I am trying to fantasize about standing on New York Street with snow made of soap bubbles falling in my face.
hi: snowbound like the rest of you. i'm sitting here reading when i should be shovelling the driveway out again. at least it's not as bad as where my son and dil are (syracuse, ny has a couple of feet on the ground already with more coming) or my cousin near central square, ny with 4 feet on the ground. they really get the lake effect snow there.
Another NJ girl here. We're definitely getting hit this time. UGH!! Enough with the snow already!! I really enjoyed watching the WDW commercials this evening!! I can hardly wait to hug Cinderella myself!! LOL!!
WAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!
We were scheduled on the 7am flight out of Atlantic City to MCO.
WAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!
Have NO CLUE when we will get on a flight!
We came to my sister-in-law's in Franklinville to be that much close to ACY.... WAAAAAAAHHHH! Flight is reportedly delayed until 2pm, but they said on the news that ACY is closed......
How terrible is this? We were supposed to be landing in MCO in 30 minutes, and in Vero Beach tonight!!
Talk about being sick right now!
We're waiting for the snow in SE Mass...... Usually I don't mind a big snowstorm since we don't get much in this area of MA, BUT DH has to work tonight so I will be shoveling alone. What is really freaking me out though, is that I let SIL take my DD (8 mo) for a visit and I was going to go pick her up tomorrow (tues) afternoon. If this storm stalls and I can't go get DD I am going to go nuts.....I know, I sound like a freaky mother... I think I'm turing into one of those overprotective mother's that I swore I'd never be.
I am also envying all the people from MA that left Friday for Feb vacation.......Why oh why aren't we in WDW???
