So growing up in the 80's and 90's I was a HUGE fan of the Baby-Sitter's Club. Does anyone remember that series? There were a couple hundred books, all about a group of teenage girls that created a baby sitting business and went on all sorts of rather tame adventures. 
Like the time they went on a boat race and got shipwrecked on an island off the coast of Connecticut. Or when MaryAnne's kitten was catnapped by her boyfriend's sister.
Anyway!
In one of the Super Specials. Two of the girls are asked to go on a vacation with the Pike family as Mother's helpers. One of the other girls' parents hear about it and decide that well, he should take his family on the vacation and invites the rest of the club to tag along. (Dude was a millionaire)
So the entire club gets to go on a cruise to the Bahamas and then a few days at Walt Disney World.
It was amazing. I loved every minute of it. It was always a dream of mine to do that. (The vacation part..not the baby-sitting lol)
I recently started to re-read the series and came across the book.
I just had to do it. We booked a Disney Cruise to the Caribbean for October last month, and the book just kept coming to mind. I just couldn't get it out of my mind. I had to do it.
I was talking to my husband while we were waiting at an appointment and he mentioned how while he was excited for the cruise, he had been craving some of the restaurants we went to last year while at Disney World.
We tossed the idea of spending a few days at WDW before the cruise around and finally decided to just do it.
We came home and I called up Walt Disney World and grabbed a quote for a few of the resorts, wrote them down on paper, and picked one at random.
So we are going to stay at Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort from the 30th-3rd then go to Port Canaveral to board the Disney Fantasy for 7 days.
It's not the exact trip as in the book (I also won't have a million kids with me) but it's such a silly girlhood dream come true.
So.. how crazy am I???
