Just who do we think we are? A lot of us call ourselves Christans and followers of God, but I think its time for some of us including the Church itself to look into a mirror and question themselves "Just who do we think we are?". Has political correctness superceded Gods will? Are we so bold that not only has man decided to question God's will, but we are on the verge of "rewriting" the Bible because of public opinion? A lot of people would like to believe that religion has NO part in thier lives - what a foolish thought that is. Just where do you think you got your sense of right and wrong, your mother or father thought of it? Sorry, but it happened a long time ago and not in a galaxy far far away. For any who really believe that religion has no part in government, you better think again. How do you think the fundementals that molded the constitution was created, from a poet? This all boils from a co-worker who questioned my faith over the subject of homosexuality because I dont go to church every week. I looked him in the eye and said "Since when do I answer to man and not God himself?". I proceeded to tell him that I do not agree with the all the church's views and its disturbing ability to openly look the other way on sinful subjects inside and outside the church. And that I will not support it under any "roof" because someone says I have to, God does not require me to. I must interject that by FAR, I am not a holy roller or person without sin. But I do feel that the teachings of the Bible hold tremendous values that allowed people for over 2000 years to know that might and strength are not the factors that decide mans fate. Back to Homosexuality and my friend, It is not my teachings or my place to condem such people, God will place judgement, not man. "Forgive those who tresspass against us".
I proceeded to discuss my feelings as a United States Citizen on the subject of Homosexuality. I said to my friend, if we are to accept Homosexuality and rewrite the constitution because of "discrimination", where does it end? He says "WHAT???? Where does WHAT end??????????". Then he grabs the dictonary and reads..................
Discriminate
(Dis*crim"i*nate) a. [L. discriminatus, p. p. of discriminare to divide, separate, fr. discrimen division, distinction, decision, fr. discernere. See Discern, and cf. Criminate.] Having the difference marked; distinguished by certain tokens. Bacon.

To discriminate the goats from the sheep.
Barrow.
Discriminate
(Dis*crim"i*nate) v. i.
1. To make a difference or distinction; to distinguish accurately; as, in judging of evidence, we should be careful to discriminate between probability and slight presumption.
2. (a) To treat unequally. (b) (Railroads) To impose unequal tariffs for substantially the same service.
I say to my friend, then we have to open our minds to every thought and feeling that man or women could think of, as responsible citizens to defeat any form of Discrimnation imaginable!!!! It would be our civic duty!!!! We must openly accept things immediatly such as complete public nudity, sexual intercourse anywhere you feel without reprimand, beastialtiy, pedophiles........ "Oh now your just beign stupid!!!!!!!" is the reply I recieve. I stare him in the eye and say how dare you, you hipocryte, didn't you just lecture me on Discrimnation?????? I say to him where do you get your values, THE BIBLE ?!?!?!?! And then he walks away.
I tried to show him more than he wanted to see and he walked away from me
