All the Abbreviations

New to the site and finding it hard sometime to read and try and figure out all the abbreviations of things. Some figured out pretty easy, all the different resorts. But there are a lot I still have not figured out. Is there a place on this forum that might have a on going list all of them. I might be a little old, 59, but am on several other forum, car related and do not find this problem. I do not do texting but my sons say that it is not used very much there anymore.

I noticed the list was missing a few. Some were on the link above and others were not, so just listed them all. I always have problems with the rides, when people abbreviate them. I just don't think of the rides as abbreviations.

VGC - Villas at Grand Californian

DH - Dear Husband
DW - Dear Wife
DS - Dear son
DS2 - Dear son age 2 (so the number can vary)
DD - Dear Daughter
DD10 - Dear Daughter age 10
DSIS - Dear Sister
DB - Dear Brother
DM - Dear mother
DF - Dear father
DGM - Dear Grandmother
DGF - Dear Grandfather
DSIL - Dear Sister in law (sometimes just SIL)
DBIL - Dear Brother in law (sometimes just BIL)
DMIL - Dear mother in law (sometimes just MIL)
DFIL - Dear father in law (sometimes just FIL)

In addition to the typical WDW abbreviations used all over the DIS, there is also a list more specific to the DVC Boards as well as lots of other information about DVC in the DVC Resource Center link at the top of the DVC Forums.

Here is a link to the DIS/DVC commonly used abbreviations.

Well here is the, my daughter-in law gave me a Grumpy shirt for Christmas thinking I would not like it. Fooled her loved it and have really gotten into Disney's Grumpy, love the little guy.

On the POTFH, I am from the state of Indiana and it is a Purdue University saying about Indiana University. The parent version which is Pounce On The Fighting Hoosiers. At Purdue we enjoy beating two schools I/U and ND.

At Purdue we enjoy beating two schools I/U and ND. Love football season, Boiler-Up

BIG 10 Hello! I am an NU alum.

In my day, we broke the record for the most consecutive football games lost! Woohoo what a record! Poor Willie the Wildcat (we called him Willie the Mild Cat)

They redeemed themselves in 1996 making it to the Rose Bowl.

They redeemed themselves in 1996 making it to the Rose Bowl.

Have enjoyed going to NU for football games. Was there several times during that streak.

Also loved the the WGN TV add in 1996 showing the Devil all mad with his car stuck in a frozen ice and snow drift. It ended with a tag Northwestern in the Rose Bowl. Still remember that add and laugh.

Do love your coach, wish he was ours.

Wish i could have been alumni, we grew up kinda poor, and could not afford that kind of school

Just been a fan since I could walk, and always love goffing with the Purdue fans... it's always been our thing. Great rivalry !
