All Stars unavailable 5/4-5/5/2018? Something going on?

Hi! We're returning from our cruise the morning of 5/4. Since it's a Friday, I was thinking of throwing in 2 nights at an All Star and spending that Fri/Sat at the parks. A quick glance at the crowd calendars doesn't show that it's crazy busy. Do you guys know any reason that none of the All Star resorts are available? I'm spending enough on the cruise, so I'm just looking for a cheapie weekend to get my fix . Thanks!

Generally there are very large cheerleading competitions that take place in May. They usually reserve those rooms for the cheerleaders--I would guess that is your issue

Lol. There are lots of different cheerleading organizations, and they all come at different times of the year. My daughter cheers, so I have learned a little bit about the whole thing. December is AYC (like Pop Warner) and May is for All-Star teams. High School teams also compete during the year. It's crazy
