I am having trouble deciding between staying at one of the All Star Resorts or Coronado Springs. Is staying at Coronado Springs worth the couple hundred dollars extra?
Thank You

It all depends on your tastes. The All Stars (AS) can be quite busy (lots of people & kids). Coronado Springs (CSR) is a bit quieter, although it's also a convention resort, so it can be quite busy too!

Here are some points:

1-Each AS has only one bus stop. CSR has several throughout the resort.

2-The rooms at CSR are bigger than those at the AS.

3-The Food Courts at the AS are better value than the one at CSR (they add a service charge)

4-CSR is quite 'spread out'; you could have to walk quite a bit to get to the lobby/food court. The AS are more 'compact'; you're closer to everything.

5-Themeing at CSR is better than that at AS.

6-You can get pizza delivery to your room at both, although at CSR you can get a couple more things delivered.

I personally like things a bit quieter, so I stayed at CSR. Check if these things help you decide if they are worth the extra $$. Of course, if you have kids, they could get a kick out of the giant characters and props at All-Star Movies (ASMo).

Hope this helps. One thing's for sure: you'll have a great time at either one!

I stayed at ASMo in Jan for $49 and then at CBR for $84. I am in NO WAY saying that CBR is not worth $84. IT TOTALLY IS!!!!
I would not say, however, that CBR was worth much more to our family than the AS. The rooms are bigger with more amenities, the pools have a slide, there is a sit-down restaurant, etc. This did not mean we had more "fun", though. We had just as much fun at ASMo, with a little more "convenience" (better food court, buses). We eat our sit-down meals in the parks and my DS is too young for the pool slide. I didn't use the hairdryer, iron, or coffeemaker in the room. If you can easily afford it, are going when its crowded, etc , I would go for CSR!

We've stayed at both & loved each one! I must say, however, as an adult I would prefer CSR simply for the fact that it was much less crowded. Since it hosts several conventions there are more adults than children at this resort. My kids however, absolutley loved the theming & the room at AS Sports. The food court is much more convenient at AS Sports for little ones than the one at CSR, in my opinion. The only disadvantage of CSR with small children is that the pool area can be quite a hike from your room, as ours was. You won't be disappointed with either one, but if I had to choose it would depend on the ages of the children (if any) going along. If they were little I'd choose AS Sports, if not, CSR. :D

:D

I'd go with the CSR. Piglet203 and I stayed there in May/June and we loved it. We have both stayed at the All-Stars and liked them, too, but not as much as we like the moderates. However, if you know that you're not going to be at the resort a lot, I'd go with the All-Stars and save the extra money for all the Disney stuff that you've always wanted to buy.:D

I stayed at the POFQ last August and loved it. I did wind up spending a lot of time, mostly around dinner time (5pm or so) and then into the evening, at the resort so I didn't mind paying a little more for the moderate resort. I'm planning on going this January, and I want to save some money so I'm gioing to chose the ASMu resort.

Depends on how much $, how long you will be at WDW, and how much you are in your rooms.
We have stayed at CSR and ASMo.
I enjoyed both, but I actually liked ASMo better. :)
DH liked CSR better.
Just a matter of personal taste and each have pluses over the other.
CSR is a very quiet resort. (As was ASMo for us, but we were there in January on both trips too.)
Nicer food court and grounds at CSR. (No doubt)
More recreational activities offered at CSR. Nicer pool, hot tub (spa), a fitnness center, a laundry facility that is relaxing (as opposed to ASMO which is small, busy and stressful).
ASMo is a real kick  (I want a four story high Buzz next to MY house). ASMo was also quiet for us, immaculate grounds, FRIENDLIER and more efficient CM's (from our experience) and CHEAPER!
I would be happy at either.
Tough choice. Let us know what you decide.

If you can get a code, I would go with CSR but I love the place. Check out my website below.

Good luck deciding but have a great trip either way!
