The only real downsides I see to AS is:
1) no in-room coffee maker. (Not that the coffee from those things are that good anyway. Just convenient.)
2) Not much to do at the AS. Basic pools. Fun decor. Gift shop. Video arcade. Past that not much. So anyone who spends a lot of time at a resort would get bored easily.
