My dream resort would be AKL, but since that is currently 3300, it is out of my price range. Also, I am the type of person who likes to get alot for his dollar. Since this is the case, I currently have a reservation for myself to stay at CBR Dec 26 to Jan 3 including the regular dream maker package for $2200. For $1953.47 silver and $2600 gold, I could stay at Disney All-Star Sports Resort with a perfered room, transportation to and from the airport, and upgrade to the Silver or Gold Dream Maker package. I have until the end of October to make my final changes, before my final payment is due on Nov 11. If it makes any difference, I will be going by alone on this trip. Also, I have sat down and figured out the getting a room and tickets seperate is only $50 cheaper than going with the regular dream makers package at CBR.

Here is a link to what both the regular package includes and the silver package:

I think that the perfered fireworks viewing and the tours are the main reason that I am thinking about doing this. Also, the 2 perfered wishes per day, either for food or activities is also nice. If I went with the Gold package, having all of my meals taken care of, plus being able to do the tours along with other things would be nice. Since this will be my first trip since 1980, I need all of the advice that I can get.

We recently stayed at ASMovies and did the gold pkg. We absolutely loved it. If it were up to me I would stay at AS and do the silver pkg. Even if you eat one nice meal a day it wouldl be worth it. Our lunches and dinners averaged about $50 a person if you choose wisely. If you would rather have some nice sit down meals than counterservice I would highly reccomend the package. Also I noticed you were going solo...some of the tours would be great. Whatever you decide ....have a great time.

I have a question- what is the price of the silver or gold package at CBR?
Beyond that I can say that we used the silver package when it was discovery magic- and that was before they made some restaurants two wishes- but we loved this package. We had a lot of flexibility with the package. We took golf lessons (1 wish at the time) and took a tour and ate a lot. We probably spent less than $100 the whole time we were there because everything was included with the package. Neither my dh or myself are huge breakfast people so we would usually get breakfast at the food court, eat a sit down lunch, and maybe eat dinner (if we were hungry). We usually used one wish a day for a meal and one to do something else. We loved the package.
This trip we are using the gold package because we want to be able to use the unlimited water craft rentals and take a few more tours - and I like the idea of being able to eat whatever whenever. The gold plan gives you ultimate flexibility because everything is included and there are no wishes. (I could never understand why people thought it was so much cheaper separately because like you I always priced it out separately and it was never that much cheaper).
Since we hadn't been to DW in a long time the silver package was nice because we got a taste of everything- and still spent a lot of time in the parks. Does that make any sense?
Having been there now we are planning on spending more time tooling around the water, relaxing, and less time being park commandos- which is why- for us- upgrading to the gold plan makes sense-
I probably didn't help much- but I would say to go with All-Stars use the silver or gold plan
(We made a list of all the things we wanted to do and compared that list to the plans- if you want to do more than the silver plan allows go with gold- but if everything you want to do is included with silver stick with that)

I suggest-If it's food and merchandise you want go Silver. If it's food, recreation (ie golf, parasailing), tours and La Nouba - go Gold. It will not be worth the extra $ if you don't take full advantage of what the plan has to offer.
