All-Star Resorts

The All Stars are the least expensive, and are great to stay at. They have been subject to criticism about "small rooms", but if you leave for the parks at 7:00 AM and come back at 10:30 PM, and then run outside to swim before you go to sleep, there's no point in a gargantuan room. If you are traveling with more than 3 people, as we were, you can solve this problem by getting two rooms next to eachother with an connecting door. Then, just leave the door open. The theme pool at the All Star Sports is awesome, and the food court is quick, easy, and stays with the actual theme. If you will spend a majority of your time at the parks, look in to the All Stars

Yep, they are GREAT for ME! My 6th time staying at All Stars(music) is coming UP in June! Can Hardly wait!

I've stayed there before with my family of 4 and we've had nothing but a positive experience. In fact, without a very good code or discount, I have a hard time justifying the additional expensive to stay anywhere else - we enjoy the all star's that much! Sure we could afford a moderate or even a deluxe, but for the amount of time we utilize the room itself, we'd rather spend the money on other things!

Big thumbs up for All Stars Sports. I must admit, I expected the
themeing to be tacky, but it worked wonderfully. The pools were
fantastic! The baseball one, especially, made you feel like you
were in a stadium. The rooms were plenty big for us - we have 4 kids, and we had 2 connecting rooms (3 big kids in one room,
baby & Mom & dad in the other).

The food court was excellent - never too crowded, even though it
was the week after Easter. Mousekeepers made nice Mickey
towel arrangements every day (maybe because of tip?). Nice touch.

We are eligible to use Shades of Green (which is fantastic), but we can actually stay at All Stars for less money - we probably will in the future!

BTW, we also walked through the Music & Movies All Stars, and I actually liked Music the best. Little kids will love Movies, with Andy's room, Dalmations, etc.

Glad to hear all the good comments for Value. We have reservations in for All star music in 280 days---tooooo long!!. This will be our 1st WDW trip. Glad to know hotels are nice.

We stayed at ASMo in Jan and couldn't have been happier. We did have two connecting rooms (it was DH, DS, my mom, her DH, and myself). I could see how the room could be small for 4 people. The food court was great and so was the pool. We spent quite a bit of time there, since we take mid-day breaks and it was still a lot of fun.

We were there with a 3 and 5 yr old for the week of Sept.11. We booked the room saying we'll only use the room to sleep and we'll be out all day, because the parks closed and the weather was awful we spent way more time in the room than we ever planned and still had a wonderful trip. Not only did the parks close, so did the pools. We would definitely stay there again, not just for the price, but the theming is great for little ones. We even found food for the picky eaters at the food court.

Another thumbs up here!!!! We had our first stay at ASMO in Sept and absolutely loved it. You cant get more Disney than that!
As for them being small, we had 5 of us in a room, with a crib and double carriage stored in there too, and had no problem with space.
I definitely prefer ASMO over the moderates, and Ill have a hard time going back to one now.

During our first trip to WDW we stayed at the ASm and loved it. It was a bed and a shower! We did the "Disney Death March" and went back to the room to sleep, shower, and change so it was perfect. The pool and food court was great.

Our second trip we stayed at POFQ and we thought it was awesome! This time out, we wanted to take the parks in at a leisurely pace and relax by the pool more instead of another "Disney Death March".

Our third trip (hopefully November, likely May) we hope to stay at BWV if I can rent points. If not, we will stay at CSR. I will be *extremely* happy to stay at BWV because it has more of the adult things we are looking for, a nice upscale feel (we were spoiled at the HRH last May ) and the kitchen if I *choose* to cook. If not, I am totally comfortable staying at CSR.

If I just HAD to get to WDW for a quick 2-3 night fix I would be on the "Disney Death March" and would stay at the AS and be pleased.

I use the room to clean-up and sleep; that is it. I rather spend the money I save on a better restaurant, souvenior, etc. I can't see paying more for a room considering that many of the off-site rooms are cheaper. Now, if someone wanted to give me a free room at the GF I would gladly accept it.

With that said I would make an exception to doing my honeymoon or a special anniversary like 25th in a more, lavish resort for obvious reasons.

I love the parks and we eat them up everytime we go. Our time in the room is not worth spending more to us.

Can't wait til Pop Century opens hopefully in 2003. I will try it.

I have stayed at the all stars many times. I liked the music one the best. the broadway is where we stayed. It is beautiful, but far away from the food court.

The All Star Resorts are great! The food court has all kinds of yummy things, the bus service is excellent.

Since we're new to the disney experience, we don't spend much time at the resort. We are just there to sleep, shower, and swim for a short while. Most of our time is spent running around the parks, so I won't spend $$$$ on a room.

My son and I are taking our 2nd trip to the world this Christmas. His only request for this trip was that we please stay at All Star Sports in the Surf's Up building again.
